I would watch him all the time when he played for Boston College not even realizing yet he was gonna play for Buffalo. I was so happy to find out he was gonna play for my home team and he's done great. But I've noticed a lot of bandwagon fans after he scored those 2 goals in 5 seconds. I never saw Gerbe jersey's till after that game. But come on is it October yet!? I need my hockey fix!

@88criminalmindsfan ya but that is how it is with all players. they will only make the jersey when there is a market for it. that aside ive always liked him form his first game as a sabre. he works hard and never backs down from anybody he has a great attitude respectful talented quick and stands up for himself no matter who it is and hi is only 5.5 and 24. he really is everything i like in a pro athlete and he will be great for the sabres moral and has all the makings of a future captain

@JMail12 Yes, but it looked accidental. Anyhow, Gerbe might just be my favorite player right now. A 5'6 player who isn't out of place on a 3rd or 4th line, nor a traditional scoring line. Competes every shift, can take whatever's thrown at him, has a really great shot, great quickness, good stick skills. He should be a very clutch, gritty, complimentary scorer in this line-up for a long time.
