If you "ever" have to throw a rope repeatedly & quickly, and you don't have time to re-stuff it again (like in this case), just quickly scoop the whole bag in the water till it's full, and throw it out again...the extra weight of the water in the bag, will carry it as far as you can throw it...and it's easy to throw it again & again, very quickly, if needed.
Just make sure you're not standing on the loose coils, when you throw the rope back out...(and it never hurts to yell out..."ROPE"...!!)
-good to see the lead man pull the rope bag out with the quickness-We were actually wanting to run this section but wow.-guys ya gotta get those rope bags out to your boaters!
Lead man? I got the impression that there was already someone down near the bottom right of the drop. I was surprised to see that he didn't act as well.
I'll gladly accept your offer, but despite the fact that I've done a amount of paddling in the U.S., including the Green Narrows, Great Falls of the Potomac Staircase, Nantahala Cascades and the Lower Meadow, I live in the Netherlands and don't get to paddle in the U.S. as much as I used to.
Dude--way to get your rope out and pull your buddy out of the hole! I'd paddle with you any day. Another reason everybody in the group should carry rope and have a med kit...
my dad is a great kayaker, he just had a bad day and he wont stop, he was the one who got chomped up so dont give him crap, thank you mr jason for saving my dad -bud-k
He was gettin Maytagged... been there, done that. Double Z on the Gorge... Grumpy's on the Ocoee.

It must of been flooding at this time. I've fished in this stream before, but I never saw any rapids like this.
