I just picked one of these up myself. the steering wheel does not work, the car stays in one spot. I don't know how to get to the back of the steering wheel to check it. is there a manual to repair this machine?

@osamarocks It doesn't have a microprocessor thus MAME doesn't emulate it...very impressive for a game without a microprocessors ! I love the RPM meter and LED displays.

Could you take the board out of a Monaco GP machine and replace it with a board of Turbo at all? They seem to be very similar cabinets.

Should be easy to rebuild the board, as there is no CPU; just TTL logic. There's a slightly confusing manual somewhere on the net that MIGHT help...

Theres two version cabinets... this one seems the expensive one cause you walk in it. do you have the other one thats has no Roof?

The game does not use a main processor. Supposedly it is entirely logic gates. The game's wiring harness is a rats-nest since there are many boards used for the game.

I used to own the same exact game, just sold it a month ago. This one in the video looks like it is in much better shape than mine was. The tachometer was missing, the control panel was hacked up, the monitor glass had a crack in it, and several other problems. The game worked fine, but I couldn't find parts on Ebay or anywhere to fix it up to like-new condition. I figured I'd sell it before it eventually died on me and I couldn't get it fixed. Great game though...feel bad for selling it...

There are only a few working examples of the cockpit in England.

You cheeky so & so :-) Many early video games had LED's as score counters etc. I think it makes it pretty cool and with the manual rev counter..you dont get that you your modern Fast & Furious racers or consoles! ;-)
