  • this is song is so perfect it was released as its own album

  • Love Thom and Colin's "jumping castle" moment at the end there. They look like they are having so much fun.

  • Surely this must be one of the most difficult songs to perform live due to its distracting drum rhythm. It it bet it requires the utmost concentration. What an achievement!

  • this song is so Fucking Great! i just can't handle it!

  • great performance but I have to ask... does Radiohead really have the authority to offer Tibet for free?

  • this song is darkness

  • They are from a small town so they don't want to take over the world, but they are just to damn good to not be worshiped.

  • Krautrock!!!

  • radiohead should release another album.

  • This song is pure post rock!!

  • Johnny is the Christian

  • Totally a King of Limbs Song

  • excellent performance!

  • This should have been on King of Limbs

  • @echo037 This song is too dark for The King of Limbs

  • gotta love that beat

  • how can u compare this band to Britney spears, linkin park, or Nsink? id like to see justin timberlake try and play an ondes martenot....or write a new soundtrack to bodysong or there will be blood...

  • man......i really want an SG now

  • @Ilovemyfender2 i bought one because of Radiohead

  • There is just so much more to music than rh. I like a hundred bands who can express emotion and show musical skill and songwriting and lyrical skill that so far surpasses this media/internet darling. The lack of melody, the lack of lyrical skill, the lack of vocal skill, the lack of musicianship expressed by this band just goes to show you that popular is not the same as good. Just ask Britney Spears, Linkin Park or NSink or...

  • @MrDrBalls woooahhh i hope youre not serious. do you understand much about the composition of music? do you really even know many radiohead lyrics? people who are familiar with music theory know that radiohead's songwriting talent is unsurpassed. and while they may be SOMEWHAT popular, they are by NO MEANS mainstream

  • @MrDrBalls You're more than entitled to your opinion and I respect it, but I strongly disagree with you. I'm currently a full-time composer for a visual arts company and I got my bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies and Composition. After studying music heavily the past 9 years Radiohead still remains my favorite band. Simply because they EXCEL in the field of lyricism, melody, composition, tension/release, arrangement, technical skill, and (this is what I believe makes them so unique)...cont

  • @MrDrBalls (continued) their Orchestration skills (mostly through Jonny and Ed but I'm sure everyone contributes) are second to none, and they obviously plan and organized their songs with great precision. As someone who is constantly studying the aspect of orchestration I can't help but tip my hat to a rock band that makes this their main focus, which in my opinion, encompasses Radiohead's success over the past 20 years.

Sure there's more than Radiohead, but that's the beauty of art to me.

  • @trembleweeds I hope with their forthcoming album release (which however was stated to be "up in the air" in regards to the material they wrote for it - by Ed O' Brien) emphasizes more of their transitional, orchestra-oriented aesthetic.

  • @JesusCristo2002 The track that's a tribute to Harry Patch is exactly that, really beautiful stuff!

If you check out Thom Yorke's solo concerts from the past year most of his songs (like Give up the Ghost) seem more focused on the continual rise and eventual climax of a tonality rather than verse/chorus/verse etc...reminds me of well written orchestral music. I'm excited to hear what the rest of the band does with that material.

  • poor

  • @MrDrBalls twat

  • @bagli1 watch?v=Zw3FTiWRXF8&feature=related

  • I used to really like tool, even went to see them and covered them once or twice. until i realised it was meaningless and pretentious. still love a bit of parabola every so often, but they don't even touch radiohead imo. but to say poor really is frankly, poor

  • @bagli1 I happen to like some Tool. I happen to find the majority of their music deeply layered, and substancially dinensional. Lyrically however they're work generally tends to be excessively dramatic and indeed on occassion "pretentious", as well as overly pessimistic. Radiohead has (and always will be) the most inspiration and influencial band to me personally. Retrospectively in time, they will by many critics and audiences/listeners ranked amongst bands like The Beatles, Stones, Who etc

  • Top Quality stuff.

But Ed's role in RH could be filled by a Laptop. Let's face it.

I struggle to see what he adds to the mix at times.

  • @ZonkoDotCom You obviously don't listen very closely :D

  • @ZonkoDotCom eh fuck you.

  • @ZonkoDotCom perhaps on some songs but not entirely considering he is the only real backup vocalist. and his rhythm parts on songs like all i need couldnt be replicated by greenwood or yorke. and think about when johnny has to switch instruments and thom needs a second guitar

  • Martin Gore of Depeche Mode said that Life is a minor key. This song is that and so much more.

  • @Sharm127 not tryin to be too nitpicky but this song's key actually switches back and forth constantly between major and minor, especially in the verse...that higher-pitched syncopated guitar note in the verse goes a half step up and then back down every phrase, and that note is the major/minor interval

  • Amazing

  • Fucking geniuses

  • HYPNOTHIC

  • Nice shot. Shitty song. Great comment. LOL

  • Very well shot for an audience bootleg! Great!! Thanks :)

  • When are you coming back Jesus... I just cant handle it anymore..

  • @Demineralize i thought the same thing ... i heard that thom is an atheist . which saddens me... but when i heard these lyrics i got the notion that he actually believes in god . i used to consider myself atheist . like 6 years ago ... never really knew why ..but spent 6 years of my life being miserable...i now know there is one god and he is the only one that can grant happiness and stabililty

    to every one of us....

  • @TheSol1dsnake Just because he doesn't believe in a god, doesn't mean he doesn't believe in anything. He's probably more agnostic than anything.

  • Ed with his sexy pose xD

  • THIS IS THE GLOAMING!!!!

    Maybe one their best-ever songs.....

    Completely, utterly adore...

  • 20 thumbs down? Is that because the other thumb was up their arse? wtf?

  • new album now please radiohead

  • This song gives me goosebumps. Reminds me of that dreamy, flowing guitar wall from Wierd FIshes / Arpeggy, just more eeire and dark. What's not to love?

  • @karlwig thats totally what i was thinking!

  • I idolize these human beings.

  • Phil's drumming sounds godly.

  • Careful With That Axe, Eugene.

    like.

  • This HAS TO be in their upcoming album, its such a brilliant song.

  • @zappazilli well they already released it out for free as a single, so I doubt it.

  • i can hear can in this. im glad radiohead are always moving in a new direction with their music.

  • lol REPOST

  • @skylineiiigtr i didnt know which version of the song (live or studio) to leave the comment on so i just did both! LOL

  • i have to agree with atomsforpeace92. ed may not play mad solos or anything, but he definitely does not lack technical guitar mastery. some of the sounds he makes with the guitar blow my mind. everyone in this band could play lead guitar if they wanted. jonny just thinks of the most unique stuff.

  • Nice recording, sounds great.

  • This song is quickly becoming my favourite Radiohead song..

  • big time!

  • song is so f'n sick!

  • pretty good quality :)

  • Wow, this got on the radiohead website. <3

    You must be happy. :3

  • This is a fantastic record as well. Hyptonic, minimalistic drumming; phrygian, ambiguous tonality; sparse, repetitive motivic gestures. In other words, a classic!

  • ? ed's a beast on guitar

  • @handmadeultras Lack of guitar mastery? Ed created the Street Spirit riff, one of the most original and influential riffs of all time. He also wrote big boots! Ed's a great guitarists.

  • hypnotic drumming. I love it.

  • Radiohead embedded this video on their website...that's why I'm here. I'd feel special if I were you.

  • ed's such a badass 1:40

    don't fucking deny it.

  • very true.

  • beautiful song, love it when thom engages with colin half way thru, thanks for the upload

  • @MicahBuzan so is collin

  • best band everrrrrrrrrrr!

  • My Beatles. Have been and always will be the most inspirational band/act to me personally.

  • it must be so awesome to see them live, are they going on tour in 2010?

  • I was there! Amazing! 3-5 days of music with thousands of other (mostly drunk) other guys.... ;) great times!

  • it's run on thom's sac sweat, and 0.01 mL of that runs a city so he's pretty green i'd say

  • commented by zuek15:

the ball of crap who commented 'thom's killing the planet with too much electricity' should know that that's a low-electricity-consumed stage specially desing for them with brand new tecnologies by Andi Watson

the fact u commented negatively on thom, show us all pretty much that u have down syndrome

  • Let me explain myself.

It doesn't matter if it's a lot or a little.

I made a sarcastic comment and you didn't get it. You have to be smart to feel sarcasm you see?

The "idiota" is zuek15, and Thom for that matter, who thinks killing the planet is a real phenomenon that happens right now.

I see hard times ahead of us and it's sad. All because of idiotas like this.

  • i see you like pissing people off so I'm not wasting my time with u

  • Radiohead is the best band in the world. If anyone who watches this appreicates musical talent or musical genious, then go to their website. They update it all the time. Ask yourself this rhetorical question: Do I create something new and original every day?

  • Yes, we all do. That is a horrible rhetorical question the processes of consciousness itself is amazing.

  • @jesskathol I do

  • @jesskathol sorry to piss on your parade...that's not a rhetorical question!

  • @jesskathol they havent updated it since july... :(

  • @jesskathol Ask yourself this rhetorical question: do i exist, or am i merely light vibrating in harmony with the universe!

  • love the vibes of this song. also the fact it's so instrumental and stripped back to focus on melody. goosebumps!

  • This definitely should have been on In Rainbows.

  • Not in my opinion, this song doesn't match the In Rainbows atmosphere. Maybe in rainbows disc 2 though

  • i did so many whipits to this song....

  • Ur an idiot, of all the asinine things, the only reason u get high off whipits is because ur killing brain cells, drink a beer for Christ's sake.

  • You have 100 000 million brain cells, im willing to kill a few for a good time :)

  • Look up how many u kill every time u do that, or how many the average person kills in their lifetime with the typical bumps and spills, add it together and tell me how many u have left that ur willing to spare.

  • call me an idiot but i dont really care..im 18 and make 6 figures a year in a resection prof job.. Im just having fun man.

  • Hell yeah! In the famous words of Jim Morrison, "I'll tell you this man, all I want to do is have my kicks before the whole

shithouse goes up in flames." Even though it's not my way of getting high...I'm sure you're enjoying life ;)

  • :D I am enjoying life.. I love life. AND this song lol

  • let them hate......enjoy everything.

  • amen

  • so buy some really good pot or something.

  • Dont smoke weed anymore...and ok devilwearspradaa. Id rather be an idiot than a fag wit a screen name like that.

  • your an idiot.

  • Oh boy.

  • 99% of the worlds population don't use their brain cells anyway, so what's the point in keeping them?

  • I gotta tell ya Tzulan99, u got me there.

  • The light effects for this song are exactly what I pictured when I heard it for the first time.

  • this is a lot better live.

  • it sounds like a 'amnesiac' track with a 'hail to the thief' kick...

  • I don't care what the haters say, I think this song is brilliant. Evocative of early Pink Floyd, but not derivative of that, just reminiscent. That rhythm is fantastic. I'm a big Thom Yorke fan too, but it isn't just about him -- and he's great solo, but not as much. This rocks and sticks in the brain quite nicely.

  • Comment removed

  • Thom's hair is getting long.

  • Does anyone know if Ed does ANYTHING in this song? Poor guy.

  • He makes the awesome feedback sounds.

  • He's does the sexy dance.

  • love this song... i've just seen it's linked on Radioheads Website and thank god i dont get the message "this video can not bee seen from your location due to copyright issues" as you get it on so many other musical stuff, even "newcomers".

Stupid Record Companys ! People by good Music !!!!!, and download the inhuman expensively produced one Hit Single Chart Crap !.

  • so much more energy live

  • more of less of the same...

  • morningcloak: 14 years for me. I couldn't agree with you more

  • I love this song more each time I listen to it.Can't wait for another album or whatever they put out and however they put it out there!Radiiohead changed my life years ago. After nearly 16 years I can honestly say they will always be #1 to me.I hope they make music till their old and senile.lol.

  • absolutely

  • I really like the drums in this one. very groovy IMO

  • drum synth btw

  • So he's playing E-Drums here?

  • Phil would be extremely bored after this song. lol.

  • no chorus played one thousand times in a row as expeceted in most songs....i like it.

  • its like in limbo with pink floyd's set the controls for the heart of the sun atmosphere. and faust arp, cos colin and ed... just stand and see them play.

  • I'm 37 and I get the same excited feeling listening to them for the past 16 years as I originally did in the 80's with REM and U2. But these guys have much more to offer with Jam and artistry.

if the new album will be anything like their last one, they will definitely get the album of the year. For some reason the mainstream music industry pushed shit like Coldplay instead of these guys.

  • Agree. BUT I must say that I really liked Coldplay in the beginning, but cannot listen to them anymore. I don`t really know whether it is because one hears them so much on the radio or because they actually changed for bad. I guess a little bit of both. Anyway, Radiohead is still one of my favourites.

  • i love the effects they use on the guitars for this song, gives it a 'farout' feeling

  • heroes

  • i hope i get to see these guys live sometime soon!

    gibs kein zweitesmal

  • u dont know what ur talking about

  • lol lol

  • that's a horrible analogy. radiohead are and always have been way ahead of practically any other band. a fair few of the younger artists wouldn't even exist if it weren't for radiohead.

  • So Thom Yorke held them at gunpoint and told them: "You're going to form a band, and you're going to do it NOW!"? ;-)

I don't think bands "wouldn't exist" if it weren't for Radiohead, maybe they would have sounded differently, but come on guys, Radiohead didn't invent music.

    Still love them though ;-)

  • as does every other band in the world. that's what the music industry is. music is constantly changing and every band is influenced and inspired by another and they take ideas and make them something else... that's how people write music. that's just the way it goes.... so don't talk radiohead down by calling them thieves, because really you don't know what you're talking about., as noises13000 stated.

  • ESCUCHANDO.

he escuchado twisted words como 50 veces y aun quiero digerirla.,...

  • YeaHHHH!!!!

Twilight is a piece of shit, RadioHead has never made a soundtrac for that load of garbage

  • MMMmmm!!!

    ME DAS LATIMA Y PENA!!

Y aprende a escribir

  • bbrriiaann - I feel the same exact way...

it's lad and uplifting all at once

  • Radiohead is one of those timeless great bands that are talented & lucky in that they have exactly all the right members in the band 2 make perfect chemistry without having to try to do so.

  • I wanna see them again in Athens!!! it's been almost ten years, for God's sake!!!!

  • Sometimes it makes me sad to listen to Radiohead because I think to myself, "This is the end of it. There isn't anything better......" Then I think, "THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!"

  • Thom-Thom's hair's staying reaaaally long :O

  • thanks for the video, i've shared it with my readers too :) my first time listening to radio head :) they are supposed to be on the New Moon Soundtrack, any idea which songs are going to be on it?

  • turgid.

  • great song, for me have take the right way , this is very experimental rock. however, I see that someone compares Musa at Radiohead. The radiohead are the best gruop ( or one of the best group) of the last 20 years, while the muse are only a good group.... therefore they are not comparable

  • You just compared them

  • I agree, i'm a muse fan, but their new album as well as their last one weren't exactly doing anything mind blowing, the muse album absolution was innovative and eclectic in the same way that radioheads are, but ever radiohead album is timeless, i know alot of people disagree but 'in rainbows' is my favourite cd next to 'ok computer'

  • this track is very _____, it makes me feel ____ like i'm getting ready to ____ ______. i don't understand how i'd be able to _____ when theres so many _____ watching

  • you're on their website

i'm sure it has been noted

    needless to say

    you rule

  • what?

  • this video is linked on their page

  • Create and listen

virtual war is a waste of time

    Create and listen

    be alone and together

    p..l...e.e...a....s...e.

  • It has grown on me too but I still think it sounds like "Dollars and Sence".

  • If you like 1 more than the other theres nothing wrong with that.I prefer rh but that doesnt diminish muse. Its all about how the music grabs u.I dont care for country music but there r ppl I know and love who do.I cant put it down because that would be putting down the ppl I love.Thats whats great about music, theres something 4 every1.What is pleasing to my ears may not be pleasing to anothers and thats okay.If you like it appreaciate it.If u dont move on but dont devalue it.
