I don't say that the Bible hasn't been written by holy men, I'm sure it is. But what is there to tell us that this is the original bible? That it hasnt been changed over time by corrupted and power hungry men? I don't know, I alone can only take trust and comfort in what the Lord speaks to me.
@Bava31 Every version of the Bible today is translated from the original versions rather than translations so isn't corrupted. Complete copies of the Bible have been found that date to 125AD the new testament was written in 40-100AD copies of other parts of the Bible have been dated further back but our copies are still accurate to them. If the Jews in charge of rewriting the old testament made a mistake they would burn the entire copy and would start again so the bible didn't change then.
I have had many of the same concerns too, that the bible has been "lost in translation" or corrupt over time by greedy men, but at the same time I agree with both of you in a way. For one the bible is Gods word, I keep my faith that God would not allow man to completely alter his word. Two while reading our word God provides us with the understanding and speaks his will on OUR lives through reading his word. So I guess we have to stand on faith!

In Revelation 5 verse 5 and following the Lion of Judah is the slain but living Lamb of God. I think it's safe to say this is the Biblical reference for this song.
Mary wasn't a levite but she was from the tribe of Judah. You may have been confused by the fact that many decendants of Judah and ancestors of mary were also called Levi but they are not the original Levi. For instance Levi the son of Melchi and Levi the son of Simeon are mentioned. The original Levi after whom the tribe was named was a son of Jacob. (the same passage lists Mary's ancestor as Judah the son of Jacob). I hope this helped to clear things up?

Because he was without sin when he died on the cross the punishment for our sins was put on him and we don't need to go to hell but can be saved if we turn from our sins asking God for forgiveness through his son and if we put our faith in him to save us then we can go to heavenby God's grace through faith which is the gift of God, not by works lest anyone should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).

@Bava31 Every version of the Bible today is translated from the original versions rather than translations so isn't corrupted. Complete copies of the Bible have been found that date to 125AD the new testament was written in 40-100AD copies of other parts of the Bible have been dated further back but our copies are still accurate to them. If the Jews in charge of rewriting the old testament made a mistake they would burn the entire copy and would start again so the bible didn't change then.

I have had many of the same concerns too, that the bible has been "lost in translation" or corrupt over time by greedy men, but at the same time I agree with both of you in a way. For one the bible is Gods word, I keep my faith that God would not allow man to completely alter his word. Two while reading our word God provides us with the understanding and speaks his will on OUR lives through reading his word. So I guess we have to stand on faith!

Jesus is the Lamb of G-d no the Lion. The Lamb symbolized the purity of his Levitical priesthood being that he was a Levite born of the Mary the Levite and not a "Jew"/of the tribe of Judah but of the tribe of Levi. (Luke 1:36)

In Revelation 5 verse 5 and following the Lion of Judah is the slain but living Lamb of God. I think it's safe to say this is the Biblical reference for this song.

Mary wasn't a levite but she was from the tribe of Judah. You may have been confused by the fact that many decendants of Judah and ancestors of mary were also called Levi but they are not the original Levi. For instance Levi the son of Melchi and Levi the son of Simeon are mentioned. The original Levi after whom the tribe was named was a son of Jacob. (the same passage lists Mary's ancestor as Judah the son of Jacob). I hope this helped to clear things up?

I feel as though it's a case of GOD would RATHER one accept Jesus in their life and I have come to know that life is better with GOD in it. I still can't accept that any father / parent will not forgive, and love unconditionally without having to be asked for forgivness.

Logically there's no relationship between omnipotence and absolute goodness, and God can be evil, but the point is what can we powerless humans do? Dude I hope you don't read the bible the way you do people's post.Selassie rose up again on the 48th day AS I SAID BEFORE. And I have seen him sitting on the right hand of the lord with the host of the heavenly armies behind him AS I SAID BEFORE.WHo gives a shit if he didn't arise on the 3rd day like your fake god?
