  • It's about the Wicked Witch, based on the book "Wicked: The life and times of the wicked witch of the west", which shows her perspective and justifies her actions. That's why it's so sad sounding, she was good at heart in "Wicked".

  • Can't wait to finish the Dark Tower and really get how deep their songs are. Demons and Wizards is epic, and I love this song <3

  • i love the stuff he dose with his voice you can tell he has classical infuince

  • I'm feeling my body shaking listening to this for my very first time. I am touched by the crimson king too and i feel blessed because i discovered this band.

  • come-a-commala, come-la-ka!

how much I love this album.. it's just timeless!

  • This song is about Rhea of the Coos & Susan Delgado I believe, in Mejis, lost & forgotten, but not by Roland Deschain <3

  • @JVIethal Long days and pleasant nights to you! =P

  • @JVIethal

Actually, it's about The Wizard of Oz.. You know, the Wicked Witch, Yellow Brick Road...but hell, I like your interpretation better u.u

  • @RandallFlaggXIX no, JV was right.. lol, it's called symbolism xD the title of the album is called" touched by the crimson king" for heaven's sake!

  • @supahwicked JV couldn't be further from right about the original influence of the song. Most songs on the album (exceptions being "The Immigrant Song", "Down Where I Am", and "Tragedy Asunder") come from a book or novel of some sort.

This one is based off of The Wizard of Oz.

Other novels that influenced songs on this album are The Dark Tower (series), Moby Dick, Lord of the Rings, the Picture of Dorian Gray, and The Silmarillion. Those have all been verified in various interviews.

  • This song reminds me of when my mother died.
