My worst nightmare, come true. I am so afraid my son, living with autism, will run into a Barney Fife. So, I guess that not smelling any alcohol, and not having given him a breathalyzer test they just assume he is drunk or on drugs. Mom should use that one phone call to the lawyer that they offered her son, hire a lawyer.
The young man appeared an easy target for the officer "to get his monthly quota"
Apprehending a large, actually intoxicated man would be to dangerous. Anyone can notice this young man has a challenge, and thank God he is not dead from their actions.
That cop needs to cut the formal bullcrap and take responsibility for his actions. He screwed up and he should be held accountable. No amount of formality in how he words his "apology" should excuse him. Im not a cop hater, but some of them really tick me off sometimes. Some think they can do no wrong and any action they do can be justified. If us regular citizens need to hold our actions accountable, so should police. Too many unfair arrests and unnecessary violence....

That wasn't an apology. That was him trying to justify his actions!
