I think i've seen this shirts what they wear at Fighter Centre, in Göteborg.. Well i've started MMA there :) It's pretty funny! My first thought was of Kali Sikaran, but i thought MMA was much more cool :P Like to do more competition sports etc.. =)

western people have no right to learn the asian art of fighting! sikaran are for filipinos and not for the foreign devils! mabuhay ang mandirigmang pilipino!!!!
Then you could just as easily say that foreigner have no right to watch the tv, use the telephone (which was made by the US), and no right to drink beer, which is a western invention! And if your sad point of view is correct, you have no right to use the internet, which was made in switzerland!
Pinoy nga yan pero susme...21st century na tayo. we have to grow up and share what we have to the world. They're sharing their ideas naman sa atin. It's a new world. 'di na pwede ang seclusion.

yes, the stick represents any type of hand held weapon like a broken pool cue, bat, baton, etc. Eskrima or Escrima refers to a class of Filipino martial arts that emphasize stick and sword fighting. Other terms which have entered into common usage include Kali and Arnis de Mano (harness of the hand); occasionally the abbreviation FMA (Filipino Martial Arts) is used.
why'd u say "in a wrong way"? hmm... hav u watched fight science in national geographic? well if u hvnt, search it in youtube and watch dan inosanto explains why the stick was used in kali... after u wtch it, theres no "wrong way" on using a stick(infact everything can be a weapon even a pen)
Harder? I don't think so? It doesn't make sense. the advantage of using a stick is to avoid close contact and be able to garantee a nice combat distance
coz this martial art was practiced hundreds of years ago... they dont hav plastics and rubber made daggers as you said and after some generations the same teachings are implied... but u now what? some are using dagger looking plastics/rubbers nowadays :D

well actually... the sticks was just a representation of a certain range weapon but originally its suppose to be a dagger or a Bolo...
gouki333 5 years ago
ok... so why don't use a plastic or rubber dagger?
