It's highly unusual for any new equipment to not have Flash Player as a part of their operating system. For most of the movies and some of the games to work you need to have the availability of Flash Player, sadly until this is rectified I cannot consider the purchase of an I Pad.
Ok, its neat but lets face it - they are selling us a something which has one main purpose - to buy stuff off i-tunes - books, music and videos. Not really thinking about what WE want. It looks awkward to hold to me. Quite happy with my netbook and my I-phone.

then i remembered how limited my iphone was before i got in to jailbreaking. my 3g now does have flashplayer, a video camera etc.

- It can't even support Flash Player.. so the best games cannot be played.
- Very easily broken with it's under an inch slimness.

i'ld swear these people must have taken crack before they made this commercials,,,,there is nothing special about this product, it's just a large version of iphone,,,and it doesn't even play flash videos,, wot the heck,,in this day an' age every device should have the capability to play flash videos,,, no idea why they r calling revolutionary-spellcheck-,,,, it is stunning to look at btw and thats about it....

It is just a sexy way of accessing multi-media. No need for super-hype and no-need for super-hate. It isn't supposed to replace a laptop. If you want all the things a laptop can do - buy a laptop. If you want something that looks pretty and does web, email, audio/video with ease then buy an ipad. Simple.

I have an ipod touch I use on the go and a laptop and TV for my home.

I'm a massive apple fan but seriously, this is a missed opportunity... No camera? No stand and No disc drive.. Its sweet really.. its almost as if apple don't seem to know that everyone would want to use skype video on these things.. and maybe even watch a Dvd, not just download from itunes.. and I might even, whilst we're at it, not want to hold the thing 100% of the time.... (shock!) Heres to a future of propping up our ipads with our now redundant hard back books!

I'd like to punch the guy who's speaking at 2:10, he's so irritating.
And what's the point of this? A laptop is more powerful, even a netbook is more powerful, and the screen is protected because the keyboard folds over it. This is just a gimmick.

I don't see point for this. I don't need big screen like that just to view pictures, when I can have them in my mobile phone, if I want to do some serious work with it, it's useless. It doesn't multitask and support all the software I would have to use. And as for books I would rather read the hard copy because after few hours looking at the screen your eyes will be hurting. Laptop is way better. I see your point!

its huge, its heavy, it has a tiny screen after you remove the annoying border and its 4:3 ratio??? i love the movie playback in native resolution where 80% of the screens not used .....
my iphone does 95% of this and fits in my pocket
my lenovo S12 with W7 netbook is just as portable as the iMaxiPad and runs everything, even call of duty and costs half as much
