No matter how many times I have watched this video, I cry. It brings back memories of when our little Herbie was very ill when we first got him and he almost did not make it. Like Moxley. he overcame his sickness (pneuomonia) and is a healthy and loving little guy.
I am so happy to see this video.. My puppy has been at the vet for almost 7 days fighting for her life.. almost ten days since the first signs of parvo. The vet said I should be able to take her home Monday, which is tomorrow.. She is such a fighter just like your little moxley :) You give people hope thankyou. :)
This brought a tear to my eye...It further makes me forgive my pup all the more when he is 'bad' bc I know at least he is happy and healthy...shoes can be replaced, a puppy cannot...Thank Goodness Moxley fully recuperated.. and thank goodness Muggles was not also infected...God Bless both of them!! :)
Precious Puggles! So glad to know that your dog Moxley overcame the disease, with treatment. It must've been a very frightening time for all of your family (incl Muggles, & of course, Moxley).
We lost our first dog, Danny, to a mast cell tumour almost 2 yrs ago (He was a golden retreiver/yellow lab mix, who passed at the age of 9). I know how painful it is to loose such a beloved pet. If you pay attention to the video at the end you'll see that Moxley lives. It even says she comes home. She was about 4 months old when she got Parvo and now she's five years old and the most awesome dog ever. All they need is someone to believe in them .
If she's not in isolation than congratulations! They look so cute, it made me so sad to watch my dog go, I hope things work out with your dog, just remember to do what's best for the dog. They are both really cute =)
If shes still in isolation I think you should put her down. It doesnt look like a good quality of living. Im 17, just put down my golden who had cancer. She could have made it maybe a month or a few months, but the cancer was spreading so I did what was best for my dog even though it was really hard for me. Im not getting another dog and come home to an empty house everyday until about 10 PM, but I did what was best for my dog. You know your dog better than I do, but you should do what's best.

Vaccinations didn't do anything for ours... Her death saved two others though. I just couldn't go on without her and ended up adopting two grown girls several months later in her memory.

we lost several puppies within a three week period. we tried to help the pups, but unfortunately, we know what they had too late...they're all gone. feelings of guilt because we had never heard about parvo and it's symptoms. the pups had them all. we thought they were just needing fluids with the south texas heat. so sorry pups.
So i went back home and cared for my pup the best i can. On the last day one of my moms friends tells us that the symptoms my dog was going threw was parvo and by that time it was too late. My puppie was really sick and pooping liquid bloody stool and vomiting more. I tried everything i could to get her to drink water and eat a little bit by using a needless syringe but she couldnt hold it down. In a couple of hours she passed away. I am a grown man and after losing her like that i cried.
So later on that day i went to the vet and i expained the symptoms she was having. The nurse said They would do a test to see whats wrong with her and then care for her. I then asked what the cost would be... Up to $1000 plus overnight stay and a 500 dollar deposit and the rest pay later. I could not pay for the treatment ... so She says "sorry". At that time i still had no idea she had parvo Even when i explained her symptoms they didnt tell me.
My 15 week old puppy died from parvo today . When i first saw her throw up a few days ago i thought it was because of a snail she ate ... she vomited this nasty white bubbly stuff and she would always lick and bite on the snails that was around. So later that day i gave her water and waited till she recovered so i could give her food(she did not want to eat). The next day i gave her some soft food and she ate it after a while she ran around with me ... later that day it got worse.
really touched me- i lost my puppy i adopted her from an animal shelter on saturday and she passed away on tuesday it was fast acting and heart wrenching .. IM very glad to see your pup made a recovery
@Actionizeable it all depends you can get taken like a fool like poor mega there but it is best to shop around cause most vets have no sympathy they are just in it for the money. The first vet wanted a 100 dollars just to page him and then we went and seen the otehr doctor and she told us 300 for the weekend stay and maybe 700 to 800 dollars after all said and done.

watching this video made me cry, especially the middle when i kidna started thinking that moxley died. then even after watching the whole thing, I JSUT HAD TO READ THE COMMENTS, and now im shedding tears, litterally. puggles are so adorable .i dont see how something so cute and precious and full of life could get such a terrible sickness, and i say that for all types of breeds big or small.

Thank you for sharing. My 11 week old chihuahua that we brought home on Saturday had a seizure tonight. I immediately rushed him to the emergency clinic where he was diagnosed with parvo. I have not stopped crying over the little guy, and he started his treatment tonight. I pick him up tomorrow to transfer him to another vet. my dog had parvo for a week. we didnt know it was parvo at the time, we thought it was pretty bad like a flu or something, Mine was almost dead, but i sat with him and told him he was going to make it, he was going to live. And he did. :)
Man, my belgian malinois is going through Parvo as I speak he got it less than 48 hours of purchase from a breeder called PSD kennels in MI. He is Ok as of right now but he was fine the first 1 1/2 days then it struck within 6-8 hours! It was terrible! I hope he turns out Ok.
My Puppy of one years old, got parvo. She didnt even make it through the night :( She was sooo tiny so it spred quick. The docotors told us there was an 80% chance of survival.......I cant look a vet in the eye now..
When my pup got it, after being vaccinated for it, we just gave him lots of Pedialyte and held him all the time, even during dry heaves. Didn't go to the vet, because all they wanted to do was IV's. Pedialyte rehydrates nicely if a dog can keep it down. He fully recovered.
TO heck with that vaccine. Must have been a modified live virus kind. I think it was the cause.
my puppy is 3 months old. he got the vaccine but his brother already had parvo..my puppy got it from him, and he's not doing too good at the moment. the other puppy recovered.
Just so that all you loving dog owners know, there are vaccines for this disease. Please do keep your dogs vaccinated and hopefully this will never happen.

My dog had parvo... We rushed him at the hospital and then treated him at home. He almost died, he threw up blood, pooped blood and peed blood. He was dextrossed for 2 weeks straight,. Just lying down on a floor with newpapers. We were so happy that he lived. We spent over 500 dollars for treatments. Dachshunds are fighters. Never backed down. Like mine :] He' s living happily now almost 7 years of age... He got parco when he was 2 years old. -.- I love him!!!

Parvo is in the ground. It's everywhere an infected dog has gone, and it can contaminate that area for around 6 months I think. Vaccinate, vaccinate, vaccinate!
Yeh it can actually stay around for a year ( how bad your dog has it) If you have a dog that has parvo and you have an inside dog please clean your clothes you dont want him gone as well PUREBREADS are the worst though
You can get the vaccine from certain tractor supply type stores. Pretty much anything to do with farm stuff, you can also call pet stores. It's easy to administer and it's cheap. I just purchased my first vial yesterday for my puppy and it only cost me about $8.50

I thought he was gone, but he told me his fever broke and he was going to be OK. 3 years later he is a little terror, but I do not care as he is alive, thanks to our most wonderful vet Dr. Brown.

I'm sorry about your loss. I just took my 9 week old beagle in today. She was diagnosed with Parvo. It cost 800 but I had to do it. I could not see her die like that. She depends on me. I remember taking her for a walk and I thought she was just tired, but she would look up at me with her big puppy eyes and I picked her up and she would nestle in my arms like a little baby. PLEASE GOD, SAVE MY LITTLE GIRL!
As I sit here with tears coming down my face again. I am so happy that Moxley is better. We got a puggle 3 1/2 years ago that almost passed due to pneumonia. He had a temp of almost 105 and was in the vets for 8 days. Thanks to Dr, Brown and the wonderful staff Herbie pulled through and is a sweet and loving dog. We also have a little girl now named Mia. She was somewhat of a rescue. Puggles are the best dogs anyone could ask for.
i had a dog just die of parvo, and we moved and got a new puppy and she was sold to us with parvo, as i type this she is in the vet hospital on fluid,and im hoping shes going to be ok, biff, the dog that died, it struck him and it killed him in 36 hours, but anyways, i hope that moxley is ok, there is this thing i heard called tamiflu or somthing that helps ure puppies with parvo, just thought u might want to know to tell your vet.
what a great movie. my 14 week old beagle hunter is currently battling parvo. He's on his second night with iv therapy and antibiotics and antiemetics. He threw up once still today, but has no diarrhea. it's hard, and I can definitely see the pain you all went through. how many days was moxley in the hospital and how is he doing? no parvo can happend to dogs of all ages, but pupies are much more vulnerable especially black or tan dogs for some reason. it is important to get them vaccinated as soon as possible because there is no cure and there never the same they rely on antibiotics.my pup died from it recently soo i did a paper on it. i want to prevent it next time because they suffer a lot i feel so guilty
Today, it's little but Jade is eating some solid foods finally and looks towards recovery. And although the loss of Ryder hit us hard, we gained another sister of theirs.. We got her shots yesterday and she looks to be non-infected. we can't wait till her vacc. kicks in so we can bring her home also. And with her... I think we did right for the nameing. Hope. And she comes with hope that we never go thru this hardship again. And hopefully no one does either.
Weather or not she makes it, we love them both. R.I.P. Ryder, and good luck Jade. I miss my baby girl sleeping on my feet and can't sleep till she is home.
Side note: No matter what, if you love them.. get them vaccinated A.S.A.P. Most vets will work payment plans if needed, mine was caught between paydays and they helped out. And vets that try... Thank you for that if not anything else, you're true saints.
I had 2 lab puppys, Ryder and Jade. Bro and sis. We bought Jade and a couple weeks later we rescued her brother from abusers. He lived the life of love and attention for the 3 days we had him. We didn't know he had parvo and when he started showing 3 days later we took him to the vet and also vaccinated Jade, 3 days later she got sick so we took her in. Today, 9-3-08. Less than an hour after Ryder passed.

On7-29-08we had to put our dopey to sleep cause of parvo than my otherpuppy Phoebe started gettin it we took her to the vet she tested + for parvo admited her for 2days sent her home with meds said she was fine.She faught 6days.got home she started getin sick called the vet they said to bring her back but i needed to pay up front.I couldntpay after putting 1 dog down and admited her they said keep her hydrated i was up for 3 days no sleep givin her water every 1/2hour she passed away on 8-3-08

I had a little 3 months old lab corgi mix. He was strickin with parvo. But unfortunately he did make it. I miss him so much. But atleast he is happy and pain free.

Aww so touching & really hit home b/c my Puggle girl Zoey is a Parvo survivor. We got her when she was barely weaned & before she turned 9 wks she got sick. I called the dr at the first sign of illness & after a checkup & fluid injection we kept her home with daily visits for antibiotics & fluids. After 3 days & no improvement the vet did the bloodwork & hospitalized her for Parvo treatment. She's now 5mos, happy, healthy, and ACTIVE. I firmly believe our LOVE is what ultimately saved her.

I know how you feel. My little puggle, Sasha has parvo and the vet says she is not sure she will survive as she already had delicate health. Sasha's my first dog and I haven't slept in days cause I've been worrying about her. Me and my mum are considering putting her to sleep as she seems to be suffering far too much for it to be reasonable enough to keep her alive. You have my sincerest apologies for your losses.

we got a puppy from a shelter and shortly after we got him he got sick and we found out he had parvo. He did really well with treatments. I just uploaded a video of him when he was sick... he couldn't even lift up his own head most of the time.

That is amazing. This made me cry. I'm currently dealing with a 10 month old puppy with parvo. My roomate had an 11 wk old that was put to sleep last week due to it, in turn my dog got it from her's.
Thankfully he did make it. Turned out he didn't have parvo. It was coccidia (however it is spelled). After two and half weeks of medicine and forcing to drink water he finally recovered.
what does a dog act like with parvo? because a puppy we got a week ago yesterday today she just started acting funny she wont eat her puppy food but she ate some chicken thought and she wont drink shes just laying around but we are taking her to the vet today so hopefully nothings wrong.

I'm wondering where you got your puggle. My puggle was born in Sept. 2006 in a litter of 5 puppies. She had parvo also, but we caught it in time and she was successfully treated. We were going thru the same experiences around the same time.
im so sorry for moxley =( but its a blessing she survived!!! thank heavens! i work at a vet and i saw my first parvo case...luckily they caught it early but my coworker worked with it all the time and i dont think i could handle it, i wish i could take the pain away. Please if you can..vaccinate your puppies PLEASE...this disease is deadly and highly contagious. a vaccine is only $26 dollors...please get it done people! save your puppy's life

OMG! I can't stop crying. That's so awesome that Moxley made it through. My best friend has a German shep. and she had all of her shots and everything and still got parvo-she died within 2 days-there wasn't anything they could do to save her. So heartbreaking-and completely amazing that your dog made it through wow!!!!

This reminds me of my childhood dogs. Same story, but a lot more sad. One died from a horrible disease at the age of 5, and my other one spends him time wondering where his brother went. It's really sad. :'(

I tried everything i could to get her to drink water and eat a little bit by using a needless syringe but she couldnt hold it down. In a couple of hours she passed away. I am a grown man and after losing her like that i cried.

So later on that day i went to the vet and i expained the symptoms she was having. The nurse said They would do a test to see whats wrong with her and then care for her. I then asked what the cost would be... Up to $1000 plus overnight stay and a 500 dollar deposit and the rest pay later. I could not pay for the treatment ... so She says "sorry". At that time i still had no idea she had parvo Even when i explained her symptoms they didnt tell me.

My 15 week old puppy died from parvo today . When i first saw her throw up a few days ago i thought it was because of a snail she ate ... she vomited this nasty white bubbly stuff and she would always lick and bite on the snails that was around. So later that day i gave her water and waited till she recovered so i could give her food(she did not want to eat). The next day i gave her some soft food and she ate it after a while she ran around with me ... later that day it got worse.

@Actionizeable it all depends you can get taken like a fool like poor mega there but it is best to shop around cause most vets have no sympathy they are just in it for the money. The first vet wanted a 100 dollars just to page him and then we went and seen the otehr doctor and she told us 300 for the weekend stay and maybe 700 to 800 dollars after all said and done.

watching this video made me cry, especially the middle when i kidna started thinking that moxley died. then even after watching the whole thing, I JSUT HAD TO READ THE COMMENTS, and now im shedding tears, litterally. puggles are so adorable .i dont see how something so cute and precious and full of life could get such a terrible sickness, and i say that for all types of breeds big or small.

Thank you for sharing. My 11 week old chihuahua that we brought home on Saturday had a seizure tonight. I immediately rushed him to the emergency clinic where he was diagnosed with parvo. I have not stopped crying over the little guy, and he started his treatment tonight. I pick him up tomorrow to transfer him to another vet. my dog had parvo for a week. we didnt know it was parvo at the time, we thought it was pretty bad like a flu or something, Mine was almost dead, but i sat with him and told him he was going to make it, he was going to live. And he did. :)

Man, my belgian malinois is going through Parvo as I speak he got it less than 48 hours of purchase from a breeder called PSD kennels in MI. He is Ok as of right now but he was fine the first 1 1/2 days then it struck within 6-8 hours! It was terrible! I hope he turns out Ok.

When my pup got it, after being vaccinated for it, we just gave him lots of Pedialyte and held him all the time, even during dry heaves. Didn't go to the vet, because all they wanted to do was IV's. Pedialyte rehydrates nicely if a dog can keep it down. He fully recovered.
TO heck with that vaccine. Must have been a modified live virus kind. I think it was the cause.

My dog had parvo... We rushed him at the hospital and then treated him at home. He almost died, he threw up blood, pooped blood and peed blood. He was dextrossed for 2 weeks straight,. Just lying down on a floor with newpapers. We were so happy that he lived. We spent over 500 dollars for treatments. Dachshunds are fighters. Never backed down. Like mine :] He' s living happily now almost 7 years of age... He got parco when he was 2 years old. -.- I love him!!!

yeah thank god she lived,still recovering,she is now playful again like she used to be,but i took her the same day that she looked ill,you cant wait for like 3 days or more or else it might be too late for your puppy,take her asap to the vet and get her tested,if positive for parvo, start treating her,i aint gunna lie,we spent like $1,000,but woth it if you really luv your dog,hope it makes it....good luck

MY MOM'S DOG DIED ON JUNE 25 2009 FROM THE PARVO VIRUS.
She had puppies and that's where the virus came about.
My mom was taking her to the vet and she died :-(

Parvo is in the ground. It's everywhere an infected dog has gone, and it can contaminate that area for around 6 months I think. Vaccinate, vaccinate, vaccinate!

You can get the vaccine from certain tractor supply type stores. Pretty much anything to do with farm stuff, you can also call pet stores. It's easy to administer and it's cheap. I just purchased my first vial yesterday for my puppy and it only cost me about $8.50

No matter how many times I watch this, I cry like crazy, remembering 3 years ago when our little Herbie was battling pneumonia. The hardest words I had heard was, he may not make it. I cried for 5 days and nights. My husband called me at work and he was crying. I thought he was gone, but he told me his fever broke and he was going to be OK. 3 years later he is a little terror, but I do not care as he is alive, thanks to our most wonderful vet Dr. Brown.

I'm sorry about your loss. I just took my 9 week old beagle in today. She was diagnosed with Parvo. It cost 800 but I had to do it. I could not see her die like that. She depends on me. I remember taking her for a walk and I thought she was just tired, but she would look up at me with her big puppy eyes and I picked her up and she would nestle in my arms like a little baby. PLEASE GOD, SAVE MY LITTLE GIRL!

As I sit here with tears coming down my face again. I am so happy that Moxley is better. We got a puggle 3 1/2 years ago that almost passed due to pneumonia. He had a temp of almost 105 and was in the vets for 8 days. Thanks to Dr, Brown and the wonderful staff Herbie pulled through and is a sweet and loving dog. We also have a little girl now named Mia. She was somewhat of a rescue. Puggles are the best dogs anyone could ask for.

what a great movie. my 14 week old beagle hunter is currently battling parvo. He's on his second night with iv therapy and antibiotics and antiemetics. He threw up once still today, but has no diarrhea. it's hard, and I can definitely see the pain you all went through. how many days was moxley in the hospital and how is he doing? no parvo can happend to dogs of all ages, but pupies are much more vulnerable especially black or tan dogs for some reason. it is important to get them vaccinated as soon as possible because there is no cure and there never the same they rely on antibiotics.my pup died from it recently soo i did a paper on it. i want to prevent it next time because they suffer a lot i feel so guilty

Today, it's little but Jade is eating some solid foods finally and looks towards recovery. And although the loss of Ryder hit us hard, we gained another sister of theirs.. We got her shots yesterday and she looks to be non-infected. we can't wait till her vacc. kicks in so we can bring her home also. And with her... I think we did right for the nameing. Hope. And she comes with hope that we never go thru this hardship again. And hopefully no one does either.

Side note: No matter what, if you love them.. get them vaccinated A.S.A.P. Most vets will work payment plans if needed, mine was caught between paydays and they helped out. And vets that try... Thank you for that if not anything else, you're true saints.

I had 2 lab puppys, Ryder and Jade. Bro and sis. We bought Jade and a couple weeks later we rescued her brother from abusers. He lived the life of love and attention for the 3 days we had him. We didn't know he had parvo and when he started showing 3 days later we took him to the vet and also vaccinated Jade, 3 days later she got sick so we took her in. Today, 9-3-08. Less than an hour after Ryder passed.

Aww so touching & really hit home b/c my Puggle girl Zoey is a Parvo survivor. We got her when she was barely weaned & before she turned 9 wks she got sick. I called the dr at the first sign of illness & after a checkup & fluid injection we kept her home with daily visits for antibiotics & fluids. After 3 days & no improvement the vet did the bloodwork & hospitalized her for Parvo treatment. She's now 5mos, happy, healthy, and ACTIVE. I firmly believe our LOVE is what ultimately saved her.

Thankfully he did make it. Turned out he didn't have parvo. It was coccidia (however it is spelled). After two and half weeks of medicine and forcing to drink water he finally recovered.

Dogs with parvo will vomit, have severe diarrhea, and are really lethargic. They may refuse to eat and drink.

thats exactly what my blooddhound/yellow lab had and he had it for about 3 days and it suddenly went away and it was parvo.

im glad your pup got better! :) my chihuahuas are still fighting the disease. but i can see improvment. anyone who has a sick puppy get your puppies PARVAID to help them fight PARVO!!! its a miracle in a bottle. thats whats helping my babies!

What a touching video. I lost a puggle names Lilly to the parvo virus. It was so hard! This brought back so many memories. Thankfully, I have to happy, healthy puggles now! Hope yours are doing well!

I'm wondering where you got your puggle. My puggle was born in Sept. 2006 in a litter of 5 puppies. She had parvo also, but we caught it in time and she was successfully treated. We were going thru the same experiences around the same time.

im so sorry for moxley =( but its a blessing she survived!!! thank heavens! i work at a vet and i saw my first parvo case...luckily they caught it early but my coworker worked with it all the time and i dont think i could handle it, i wish i could take the pain away. Please if you can..vaccinate your puppies PLEASE...this disease is deadly and highly contagious. a vaccine is only $26 dollors...please get it done people! save your puppy's life

aww that was so sweet!!! i have a puggle and shes my baby and i love her. shes gonna be 3 in 24 days!! time flies. you must be one of the best dog owners ever. by that video i can tell u love ur doggie. i would have treated my dog.

OMG! I can't stop crying. That's so awesome that Moxley made it through. My best friend has a German shep. and she had all of her shots and everything and still got parvo-she died within 2 days-there wasn't anything they could do to save her. So heartbreaking-and completely amazing that your dog made it through wow!!!!

This reminds me of my childhood dogs. Same story, but a lot more sad. One died from a horrible disease at the age of 5, and my other one spends him time wondering where his brother went. It's really sad. :'(
