Learn a little history first. We were not agressors, we entered the war on the German side strictly because of the annexation of Bassarabia in 1940, made due to the Ribentropp-Molotov pact, so USSR was the agressor first.
And there was no russian conquest of Bucharest, because Romania switched sides before that could happen.

1. Not "Bassarabia", but Bessarabia. 2. Not even Bessarabia, but Moldavia (self-name - Moldova) was romanian just ~20 years, when Romania stole it after desintegration of Rus. empire. Stalin just returned own land. 3. Romania got independence as russian gift. You were servants of Osman empire (Turkey) and were liberated by russian army (+other Balkan countries) in 2nd half of 19th century. By the way. the was no such state as Romania before this. Any nation with many missiles can get past any missile defence. Every missile interceptor has a limited ammount of anti-balistic missiles, so the opposite country only needs to have more missiles than the shield can intercept.
The thing is that the Russians, don't need to send many missiles to get past the defense. These guys have hypersonic accelerated warheads. If the missile reaches cruise altitude/speed (it reaches that in Russian airspace), nothing can stop it. The only good shield against Russian missiles is the Russian shield called A135. The US shield is ineffective against just one RT 23.

I was just listening today to news about Ukranian elections, etc. The host was saying that the ukranian people are mostly against joining Nato and leaders are pro joining the alliance. Learn a little history first. We were not agressors, we entered the war on the German side strictly because of the annexation of Bassarabia in 1940, made due to the Ribentropp-Molotov pact, so USSR was the agressor first.
And there was no russian conquest of Bucharest, because Romania switched sides before that could happen.

1. Not "Bassarabia", but Bessarabia. 2. Not even Bessarabia, but Moldavia (self-name - Moldova) was romanian just ~20 years, when Romania stole it after desintegration of Rus. empire. Stalin just returned own land. 3. Romania got independence as russian gift. You were servants of Osman empire (Turkey) and were liberated by russian army (+other Balkan countries) in 2nd half of 19th century. By the way. the was no such state as Romania before this. Romanians have long suffered (more than 50 years) as a consequence of communism brought to Romania by the Russia. Russia is a dangerous nation due to their primitive and barbaric ways as, once again, they would be ready to devour countries surrounding it.

Any nation with many missiles can get past any missile defence. Every missile interceptor has a limited ammount of anti-balistic missiles, so the opposite country only needs to have more missiles than the shield can intercept.

The thing is that the Russians, don't need to send many missiles to get past the defense. These guys have hypersonic accelerated warheads. If the missile reaches cruise altitude/speed (it reaches that in Russian airspace), nothing can stop it. The only good shield against Russian missiles is the Russian shield called A135. The US shield is ineffective against just one RT 23.
It is obvious that the US is trying to turn Russia against our country. But, we are not fucked, yet.

Inegrarea in NATO a fost una din marile greseli ale Romaniei, nu glumesc. Singurul motiv pentru care am fost acceptati este faptul ca avem locatie strategica, altfel nici nu ne bagau in seama.

Russia provoked all those Eastern European countries after WWII and even tried to starve the Germans in Berlin with a Blockade in 1948. The way I see it these former Soviet countries want to get as far away from Russia as possible, metaphorically speaking. They were Slave States of Russia and do not trust Russia now.

United States proposed this thing to Romania in October 2009, until to propose Poland and Czech, they wanted firstly in Romania, because this is the most important area. I wonder how the USA would view things if Russia were to base military hardware in in it's own back yard? The missile shield is not aimed at any other nation other than Russia, because despite lacking the military clout it possessed in the 80's, mother Russia still has a formidable nuclear arsenal. This is both dangerous and it isn't necessary. The US has overwhelming military might and pushing closer up to Russia's border while only inflame international relations. Since the collapse of the Warsaw Pact and the dissolution of the USSR in 1991 Russia has found itself besieged by NATO expansion and has been continually provoked by the actions of US puppet governments in it's former sphere of influence; Georgia and Ukraine being the most recent agitators.

With all due respect, this fat ass doesn't know what he's talking about. Romania is in a strategic position in with respect to the middle east. During the Iraq/Afgan invasion much of the american/NATO forces left from Romania. As far as Russia goes, we're neutral towards them. Me, I don't like those cocksuckers (russians) at all.

I agree with you. I don't like the Russians either. They have been obstructionists towards the Iranian threat. The USA put the best foot forward and extended our hand to Russia. We did not install Missile Defense in Poland or Czech Republic last year as Russia didn't want us to. We asked Russia to assist in preventing Iran from moving forward with their nuclear plans, but Russia sat on it's ass and became an obstructionist in that process. So guess what Russia, now the USA has a response

It's a little more complicated than that; in-fact the West endorsed Yeltsins actions when her turned tanks on on the presidential palace. This was meant to be done in the name of freedom, but the reality was all the progressives in the Russian parliament who wanted to follow a different economic path were an obstacle to the kind of society that suited western policy makers. Criticism began when Putin began to curb the excesses and lawlessness of the 1990. 's and bring about some order.

half of you have no friggin idea what you're even talking about. Romania isn't like Poland, Czech Republic, or any of those West Slavic countries that live in mortal fear of Russian tanks.
Romania and Russia have had practically no interest in each other since the late 1950s, when Romania gave Moscow the finger and started its own independent communist system. They're not friends and they're not enemies. Romania is geographically closer to the Middle East than to Russia: this is about Iran.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THAT. Mainly because Romania knows to risk, it is a Latin country... And also just to mention, in 2020 their economy is supposed to be higher than Italy's! They rised fantastically, I were in Bucharest in the '90s and I also were lately... The Romanians live pretty good, their average salary is bigger than in Poland for example!

get the fuck out of europe, U.S. military. No one wants you here. Middle East has been near Europe since the beginning of times, and there never were no major 'threats' to the world until U.S. got their bruce willis asses on this side of the world. What does that teach us? The threat is the U.S. military involvement. Missiles? for fuck sakes. even crack-heads would be more trustful than the oil-heads in charge of the foreign relations policy. US Military, making the world a big DIE HARD movie.

And if you look at the global situation,you can find that the U.S. foreign policy is based on "divide and conquer", and their intention seems to be pushing Europe into a made-up conflict they created themselves with the whole middle east, so that we stop being so 'neutral' and get on their side, thats what they want. Don't fall for it. Notice that the project their on, 'new american century' only involves america,,think about it.

well i certainly can understand what you mean. I am not fooled by the "americans in shining armor" thing. I realise that they did their share of crimes (Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Vietnam, Iraq, Nicaragua, CIA assasinations etc etc etc), but compared to the russian crimes it's insignifiant.
Russia should mind their own fucking business. eastern european countries are no longor in the warsaw pact so they can choose to install whatever missiles they want without consoulting Moscow.

That happened some CENTURIES ago, but as usual US's fear-mongering foreign policy uses every excuse to bring up old problems to justify WEAPONS&influence deployment.(arabs european invasions happened from the 8th until the 13th century). Then you wonder why other countries react the way they do..Lol. And they did influence almost all the southern europe, as a LOT of cities names have obvious arab origins/phonetics, more than you imagine. So are those missiles to protect europe from another
