You should team together along with your pals Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield and Carlos Olivera. And not to fight zombies. You need to work together to save the world, not from Wesker. Leon and Chris are both at an advantage and disadvantage, Leon is fast, agile and good with knifes (He's an emo without the paint though), but Chris is strong, tough and good with a handgun, so they both have an advantage, Leon's is closed range, and Chris's is long ranged, both are beaten and won
I think Leon would win for a couple of reasons 1. he's naturally gifted not many rookie cops on their first day would be able to survive a random zombie outbreak. 2. Because of his feat he was specially trained by the government to be the best of the best. 3. If Leon wasnt the best why would the gov't send him alone to rescue the president's daughter from an entire village? Because he is the best..... Chris is an expert but being an expert doesnt make you the best
Hey fanboys should knock it off. RE6 is coming out down the road. And it's not about who's better, Leon or Chris. It's about them going out there and kicking zombie ass together. If Chris and Leon met in the streets crawling with BOWs, do you think they'd have the same egos you fanboys have? Would they start shooting at each other instead of those freaks? Seriously.

Leon not only has a massive advantage in speed and agility as shown in RE4 and Degeneration, but Leon also took hits from a giant that can level a house. Plus the weaker Genados can also push boulders like Chris and Leon casually can easily kick their heads off their shoulders.
@ChaosZack08 Dude that's gameplay. You can't use that in your argument. Kicking ganados heads off is gameplay, not official story. Getting hit by an El Gigante and surviving lowering your healthbar is gameplay. In the actual story, Leon (being human) would have been flatten if he took a single hit from that thing. In the actual story, he probably didn't get hit and was just good at dodging. I'm not taking sides though, just giving my honest opinion.
It simple, Leon is fast but all it would take is one punch from Chris to knock his ass out. As for the people who claim didnt recieve help lets not forget that Leon would have died if it wasnt for Claire and in RE4 he would have died if Ada wasnt there to save his ass twice. Both Chris and Leon recieved help Chris is just more of a team player than Leon is but to keep things simple Chris would win hands down.
@ShadyJ96 Not sure where you come up with Leon being Smarter, more skilled or even more creative than chris, Never saw leon knock a boulder over to create a bridge in a pool of lava and thats pretty smart and creative if you ask me. As for Leon taking hits from krauser, yes in the game he took hits but thats like saying Leon could survive a stab to the heart since it happens when your playing the game if you dont dodge in time.
@linkcastillo That's just steroid abuse. Look at the veins and arteries on his arms. Um, the fire he uses against the "big cheese" (rip louis), shows he can use his surroundings creatively for one.
Also, they have both been thrown into walls and get up easily, so Leon is also incredibly durable. Before Leon's first adventure in RC, Chris had been in the army and S.T.A.R.S, and was more oriented towards working as part of a team with heavier fire-arms.
@linkcastillo He survived the Racoon City incident with just a pistol and a knife, managing to rescue Claire and Sherry.
He then went through his ordeal in South America, with Krauser, and he must of picked up a few knife skills from him. I'd like to see Chris in a knife fight with Krauser - Chris being weaker, less agile and less skilled with a knife, whereas Leon is faster, more agile and can equal Krauser in a knife fight.

@ShadyJ96 Im looking through all your comments here and where on earth do you get the idea that leon went through raccoon city with just a knife and gun? if its through gameplay then that alone is a weak argument because people go through RE1 as chris with just a knife. On another comment chris wasnt in the army, it was the airforce where he was a pilot, then joined stars where leon was only a cop. As for the steroids thats just plain stupid, it would be stupid to think chris wouldnt bulk up.
@linkcastillo Look at his arms... That's not naturally bulking up. Krauser doesn't have veins like that. And I get so tired of typing specifics that I generalise all special forces and such as military. Leon was still a rookie cop in a quiet town. Compare that to having been in the air force then S.T.A.R.S which is basically a team of Specialised individuals.
@ShadyJ96 and to say the leon got through raccoon city with little to no help is also stupid, if it wasnt for ada and claire he would have died, in fact leon got shot and would have died if it wasnt for ada, In RE4 Leon again would have died in the knife fight against krauser if it again wasnt for Ada. And even though it can never happen since wesker died we all know if wesker fought leon, leon would have died incrediably quick, but either way it doesnt matter, in about 6 weeks...
@linkcastillo Which is a stupid plot, because why would umbrella send special forces in with a list of objectives that include: Kill a random rookie cop? He was nothing to them so that makes no sense. Also, Chris fights mainly in teams and groups. You may get separated but he's still not the "solo type" unlike Leon. Leon also saved Claire and Ada multiple times - he wouldn't have been shot if he didn't protect Ada so that's bull.
@ShadyJ96 Actually the plot revolves around killing all survivers and collect any data that links umbrella to the incedent (my spelling is horrible right now) so its actually a pretty cool plot. The whole thing with chris and leon is yes leon is trained to solo things at the RE4 point to protect one person, chris is trained to kill bow's trained to kill people in many different ways which include fighting with a knife in cqc. these points should prove that chris would be able to kill leon 1 on 1
@linkcastillo Except Chris just runs at people and punches. Leon is more skilled in combat. Chris can use a knife, but he couldn't match Krauser. In a one on onee, Chris would be lucky to survive an encounter with Krauser, let alone kill him.

@ShadyJ96 Yes he was %100 screwed and as for beating krauser when he had the mutant arm, thats something just about everyone has done, claire beat birken, chris beat veronica, chris, jill, barry and rebbecca beat the original tyrant, clair beat the second tyrant, chris and sheva beat wesker, and leon beat krauser. Everyone has killed an enemy with a mutant arm so that doesnt say much for the mutant arm people.
@linkcastillo Nope, he could have kicked him off. Also, Krauser is less durable than other enemies mentioned . Unlike your other examples, Krauser's arm didn't make him any stronger. It just made him a little more dangerous and allowed him to block bullets. Though less durable he had no weak spots and was still agile - unlike Uro-Wesker. And the difference between Wesker and Krauser is that Krauser actually puts in a lot of effort. Wesker toys with Chris a lot.
@Shaun71290 Part of darkside Chronicles. Leon and Krauser rescue that girl. That's why Krauser calls Leon "comrade". Back in that game, Krauser was better with a knife than Leon.
Also, he could have kicked Krauser off in the knife fight - back to Leons RE4 adventure in Spain.

Leon is faster, more skilled at fighting, more agile, more creative and smarter, though he lacks in strength compared to them. And he technically did kill Krauser, though the plagas revived him.

Also, I recomend Darkside chronicles if you have a wii.
Altho Leon didnt kill Krauser he did defeat him at the peak of his form. When he attacked Ada he was wounded and still had the battle wounds to show it. Leon actually defeated Krauser whereas Ada moreof just finished him off.
@DiamondFang I mean in the resident evil story defeating an enemy and not killing them is the difference between life and death so Leon still sucked at making sure a potential threat wasnt eliminated... Ada even made the same mistake after fighting with Saddler....
Not necessarily, Theres was no choice but to go on if not then Leon wouldve been caught in the blast. you cant suck at something you had no choice over. It just was the case. Defeating Krauser allowed him to live on. Same like Birkin from RE2 they couldnt kill him but by at least defeating him were they allowed to live and get him later on. In RE the winner is the one wo lives not who stacks up the points. Fyi, i didnt say that to say who was better just something i felt worth noting.

Then i guess your grudge is more with Capcom than the characters. The best explaination i can give is that ppl dont always think rationally in life threatning situations. Krauser knows Leons fighting potential and probably had the timer in case Leon managed to defeat him who knows. In RE2 the wires were cut because Chief Irons was sabotaging everything out of insanity. The cops in the Station decided to abandon the falling apart Police station that couldnt hold off zombies anymore.

@linkcastillo Leon works solo, with occasional help.Many of them from RE4. These include the Reaper (insect things spit acid in 4 and can fly / turn invisible), Executioner and bigman (Garrador), Chainsaw, Plagas Dogs, U variety - U8 (U3 was Salvador's right hand guard), Manjini (Ganados), El Gigante, Minigun guy etc. RE4 also had regenerators and Iron maidens and Mega Salvador (faster stronger, 2 chainsaws).
The only original thing in RE5 was Uroboros and that was weak.
@ShadyJ96 What are you talking about? The plagas from RE5 were an upgraded more powerful version than RE4. And the whole Chris having a partner thing was just the way the mission was set up. Are you telling me that if Leon was offered a partner, he'd say "no, got to impress my fanboys by proving I can do this alone"?
@Thirst4Fire Not really. The only "upgraded enemy" was the chainsaw manjini and he's still nothing compared to the mega chainsaw Ganado (I only consider 1 to be Doctor Salvador). Bigmans and the 3 executioners have got nothing on normal or armoured Garrador. The reapers are just those insects who can fly or go invisible on RE4 and spit acid on you. Minigun guys take 2 rockets on RE4.

Chris has way more XP then Leon, and is actually pretty fast if you've played RE5, was in STARS, was good with a gun, and strong. Chris can take a lot of hits as we can tell from his fights with Wesker.
Leon: he's a great instinctive person(as from Raccoon city), but as we can see in RE4 he learned a whole lot, also he's more agile then Chris is. never required help except twice. and from what i could see, probably smarter in terms of fighting. My money is definitely on Leon Kennedy.
Both. Leon is much younger and quicker. Chris is almost 40 but has huge strength to keep him going. They both hav their pros and cons. after getting his ass kicked in code veronica chris prob hit gym a lot, maybe the juice too, and thats prob why hes a gorilla with a handgun now. Leon gets trained by the gov't so thats why he so good at hand to hand and knife combat. chris is slow and brooding and leon is a douche now. either way, their both badass and together are gonna fuck shit up in RE 6

i think leon is the best of all of the good characters on the resident evil series. leon gained his experience at the start of an outbreak he was only a police officer and hes saved claire and ada a few times when he could and can. and yet he still survived, chris trained with STARS for years before he even went to the mansion and dealt with bs when he only had to fight a tyrant at the end of the game when leon had to fight evolved forms of william multiple times and the lickers too. so def leon

I think Leon is better in more aspects than Chris. 1) Leon actually has a personality, Chris is a brick wall. 2) Leon is a natural survivor and doesn't need to prove himself to anyone. 3) Leon is more physically fit than Chris. Basing on speed and endurance than just plain strength. 4) Chris is more to getting revenge on Wesker and Leon concentrates on getting the hell out of the area alive and in one piece. 5) Leon= gentleman and Chris=gung-ho on Wesker
And I have played all of the RE games, including RE5... Chris really hasn't changed much and is obsessed of Wesker (beyond creepy). Leon's goal is to protect the people and just have some kind of normal life after the incidents of Raccoon City and his mission of getting Ashley out of Spain/Europe (wherever the hell it is).
That's probably why Leon is much more popular because people can relate to him better than Chris. Now, Redfield isn't too bad, just a bit dull and bland IMO.
Chris moves boulders with his fist and Leon has awesome cinematic knife fights. I'd go with the rookie who naturally survives zombie outbreaks. Not a fan boy, just think hes better instinctively.

@MrBOWMrBOW chris had a harder senario, with 2 less spaces available than any other character, and in the remake of RE you have to actually shoot the zombies in the head or burn them for them not to come bakc up and try to kill you. in RE2 with leon, i can play and beat in blindfolded; its just so easy, 1st or second senario.STARS is more advanced than the regular police force too.

It simple, Leon is fast but all it would take is one punch from Chris to knock his ass out. As for the people who claim didnt recieve help lets not forget that Leon would have died if it wasnt for Claire and in RE4 he would have died if Ada wasnt there to save his ass twice. Both Chris and Leon recieved help Chris is just more of a team player than Leon is but to keep things simple Chris would win hands down.

@linkcastillo That's just steroid abuse. Look at the veins and arteries on his arms. Um, the fire he uses against the "big cheese" (rip louis), shows he can use his surroundings creatively for one.
Also, they have both been thrown into walls and get up easily, so Leon is also incredibly durable. Before Leon's first adventure in RC, Chris had been in the army and S.T.A.R.S, and was more oriented towards working as part of a team with heavier fire-arms.

@linkcastillo He survived the Racoon City incident with just a pistol and a knife, managing to rescue Claire and Sherry.
He then went through his ordeal in South America, with Krauser, and he must of picked up a few knife skills from him. I'd like to see Chris in a knife fight with Krauser - Chris being weaker, less agile and less skilled with a knife, whereas Leon is faster, more agile and can equal Krauser in a knife fight.
Also, every enemy in RE5 was from a previous RE game -

On another comment chris wasnt in the army, it was the airforce where he was a pilot, then joined stars where leon was only a cop. And I get so tired of typing specifics that I generalise all special forces and such as military. Leon was still a rookie cop in a quiet town. Compare that to having been in the air force then S.T.A.R.S which is basically a team of Specialised individuals.

@linkcastillo Which is a stupid plot, because why would umbrella send special forces in with a list of objectives that include: Kill a random rookie cop? He was nothing to them so that makes no sense. Also, Chris fights mainly in teams and groups. You may get separated but he's still not the "solo type" unlike Leon. Leon also saved Claire and Ada multiple times - he wouldn't have been shot if he didn't protect Ada so that's bull.

@ShadyJ96 Actually the plot revolves around killing all survivers and collect any data that links umbrella to the incedent (my spelling is horrible right now) so its actually a pretty cool plot. The whole thing with chris and leon is yes leon is trained to solo things at the RE4 point to protect one person, chris is trained to kill bow's trained to kill people in many different ways which include fighting with a knife in cqc. these points should prove that chris would be able to kill leon 1 on 1

@linkcastillo Nope, he could have kicked him off. Also, Krauser is less durable than other enemies mentioned . Unlike your other examples, Krauser's arm didn't make him any stronger. It just made him a little more dangerous and allowed him to block bullets. Though less durable he had no weak spots and was still agile - unlike Uro-Wesker. And the difference between Wesker and Krauser is that Krauser actually puts in a lot of effort. Wesker toys with Chris a lot.

Altho Leon didnt kill Krauser he did defeat him at the peak of his form. When he attacked Ada he was wounded and still had the battle wounds to show it. Leon actually defeated Krauser whereas Ada moreof just finished him off.

Not necessarily, Theres was no choice but to go on if not then Leon wouldve been caught in the blast. you cant suck at something you had no choice over. It just was the case. Defeating Krauser allowed him to live on. Same like Birkin from RE2 they couldnt kill him but by at least defeating him were they allowed to live and get him later on. In RE the winner is the one wo lives not who stacks up the points. Fyi, i didnt say that to say who was better just something i felt worth noting.

Then i guess your grudge is more with Capcom than the characters. The best explaination i can give is that ppl dont always think rationally in life threatning situations. Krauser knows Leons fighting potential and probably had the timer in case Leon managed to defeat him who knows. In RE2 the wires were cut because Chief Irons was sabotaging everything out of insanity. The cops in the Station decided to abandon the falling apart Police station that couldnt hold off zombies anymore.

@linkcastillo Leon works solo, with occasional help.Many of them from RE4. These include the Reaper (insect things spit acid in 4 and can fly / turn invisible), Executioner and bigman (Garrador), Chainsaw, Plagas Dogs, U variety - U8 (U3 was Salvador's right hand guard), Manjini (Ganados), El Gigante, Minigun guy etc. RE4 also had regenerators and Iron maidens and Mega Salvador (faster stronger, 2 chainsaws).
The only original thing in RE5 was Uroboros and that was weak.

@Thirst4Fire Not really. The only "upgraded enemy" was the chainsaw manjini and he's still nothing compared to the mega chainsaw Ganado (I only consider 1 to be Doctor Salvador). Bigmans and the 3 executioners have got nothing on normal or armoured Garrador. The reapers are just those insects who can fly or go invisible on RE4 and spit acid on you. Minigun guys take 2 rockets on RE4.

Chris has way more XP then Leon, and is actually pretty fast if you've played RE5, was in STARS, was good with a gun, and strong. Chris can take a lot of hits as we can tell from his fights with Wesker.
Leon: he's a great instinctive person(as from Raccoon city), but as we can see in RE4 he learned a whole lot, also he's more agile then Chris is. never required help except twice. and from what i could see, probably smarter in terms of fighting. My money is definitely on Leon Kennedy.

Both. Leon is much younger and quicker. Chris is almost 40 but has huge strength to keep him going. i think leon is the best of all of the good characters on the resident evil series. leon gained his experience at the start of an outbreak he was only a police officer and hes saved claire and ada a few times when he could and can. and yet he still survived, chris trained with STARS for years before he even went to the mansion and dealt with bs when he only had to fight a tyrant at the end of the game when leon had to fight evolved forms of william multiple times and the lickers too. so def leon

I think Leon is better in more aspects than Chris. 1) Leon actually has a personality, Chris is a brick wall. 2) Leon is a natural survivor and doesn't need to prove himself to anyone. 3) Leon is more physically fit than Chris. And I have played all of the RE games, including RE5... Chris really hasn't changed much and is obsessed of Wesker (beyond creepy). Leon's goal is to protect the people and just have some kind of normal life after the incidents of Raccoon City and his mission of getting Ashley out of Spain/Europe (wherever the hell it is).
That's probably why Leon is much more popular because people can relate to him better than Chris. Now, Redfield isn't too bad, just a bit dull and bland IMO.

Leon is my fav character but i got to say if they fought chris would win. chris is stronger and has more experience than leon. Chris was in STARS , while leon was a rookie cop, for a day. Chris fought some of the first zombies (RE) and his scenario was more challenging than Jill’s. Leon may have had special government training but chris saved his sister in code veronica, and is a founder of BSAA in RE5.

I love them both, but I think I like Leon a little better. (Game leon, movie Leon sucks.) And to all of you saying that Chris would crush Leon because he's physically stronger, ummm...Do you guys forget what game these two come from? Physical strenght doesn't mean poo in the RE universe. Claire and Leon spent all night besting guys that were far stronger than them in the brute strenght department. Leon is more flexible and faster than Chris, they both have their advantages.
