Hey it's Gilbert from Revenge of the Nerds at 5:00. I love this movie though, it actually had some really, really interesting ideas in it about zombies but it didn't have to be so cheesy and over-the-top in some aspects. I think if they would have stuck with its more interesting elements like a person still being human but physically a zombie and the love story element it would have been good. Also the film would have needed a different title if it was going to focus on its serious elements.

As a zombie movie, it really is no big deal (full of plot flaws and outdated special effects), the one thing that caught my attenton, however, is that in the end of this movie I actually cared about that girl... when was the last time I cared about anything in a movie?

The film was effective in this sense. Perhaps because all of us who have loved before know how hard it is to say goodbye and how horrible it would be to watch this person in such pain, unable to do anything about it.

You might say the kid has no appreciation for his life, but can't you argue also that each military person here (except for the father, eventually) has a general disregard for the 'lives' of the undead and the observed implications of using them on the living?
