Actually they became Christians long before Constantine. If you look in your Bible to Acts 8 it confirms what I am going to tell you. Saint Phillip the Apostles first brought Christianity to Ethiopia. Also the whole church once were the property of the Ethiopian. There was a terrible tragedy happen when the Abbots of the Church fell ill and died it was then that those in power took the keys off the dead bodys of the monks and gained control of the church. It would have been interesting to have had you go into the Anastasis church you mentioned, Bill, for I'm sure we would have seen icons of the Anastasis = resurrection. Icons of this often depict Christ lifting Adam & others out of their graves, or out of hades, by hand & wrist grips, in resurrecting them.
