  • sounds good man sounds kinda like mine but mine is a litter deeper i got 3 inch staight pipes

  • sounds nice. should listen to my 6.2L diesel. i have videos of it straight piped and with glasspacks.

  • sounds so good!!

  • drop it in 1st and let it bang off the rev limiter!!!!!! my first car was a pick-up truck '85 3/4ton with a 6.2, underpowered, but man I loved that truck.

  • that sounds sweet. i love the crackle of the glass packs. my dad has 2001 chevy with the 6.0 liter gaser in it with glass packs and it sounds good. i have a 1985 GMC 1 ton with the 6.2 diesel with dual exhaust. right now it is really quite and im think about putting glass packs on it

  • Ah gawts glasspacks on muh trailer an it saunds so purdy.

  • My 6.2 is soo much louder and it has 2 1/2 inch straight with glasspacks too.

  • im lookin forward to that

  • sounds great, i should get that done on my 6.2

  • thx, i'll take a vid of what it sounds like from the inside and put it on later. stay tuned! (and i dont mean hondas haha :P)

  • I have the same setup on my 89 Suburban lol..and yer damn right its badass

  • Absolutely GORGEOUS truck! Is it a 1/2 ton? Id love to find an old silverado like that and redo it.

  • yep its a half ton

  • I have the same set-up on my 85 suburban. It is so BADASS!

  • now that sounds good

  • I took this movie. I'm his r/l brother, you can ask him yourself.

  • YES!!!

    Lovely noise.

    I'm so fukin jealous!

I live in UK- petrol cost =to $9 a gallon, all the cars have 4 cylinder engines.

I drive a shite 1.8 turbo diesel 88bhp standard-120bhp now, still shite. Top speed 115mph bah! it will do 40mpg though! and more.

  • the 2wd 6.2 diesel was rated at 31 highway/29 city when it came out,not bad for a fullsize truck

  • That sounds a bit much; a friend of mine has a 6.2 in a land rover which weighs less and he gets around 20mpg, adverts for the conversion say around 30, as the engine isn't working as hard when its a big un, but most people say less! who knows? not me!!

  • the rover was probably considerably heavier and lower geared

  • Yes maybe, and 4 X 4.

    weight about 2 tonnes.

The fullsize truck u mention will be heavier I would guess, but tall geared as u say.

This engine would be good in a car like a mercury monarch/ ford granada kind of size, I could live with 30mpg for that noise, enspecially on veg oil.

  • Gearing and engine RPM have alot to do with it. I have a 85 with a 6.2 if I do 55 i will get almost 25 MPG with no overdrive. If i drive 65-70 I get around 17-19. Stil not bad at all for a full size 3/4 ton 4wd truck.

  • Is that american or english gallons?

isf american then thats nearly 27mpg maybe?

Better than 2.5 diesel my friend has!

A big under stressed engine is always better, lasts longer aswell, which means less polution.

  • @Catalina65389 mines an 82, but exactly the same otherwise, do you have electric front locks or manual?

  • @Flyboy207 it had electric. the truck has long been sold, i miss it dearly.

  • @chevyvettz06 haha i was talking to the other guy

  • @Flyboy207 lol my bad.

  • I know a guy who claims to get about 28mpg with a 4x4 6.2L with a 5 speed. I think he has pretty high differential gears. That could make a huge difference too...don't the rovers have really low gears 4:56 or 5: something?

  • that sounds so cool what exhaust you runnin?
