They are World Champions because we unfortunately will never include another country except Canada because baseball is mostly an American sport. We know that they aren't really the world champions, but we just like to use that title.

Amen to that man. I rooted for the Rays to get to the World Series, but then they ran into my boys at the end. It made me sick to see the amount of coverage these "dedicated" Rays fans were getting when Phillies fans like myself have experienced the up and downs of this team (and other Philly teams) for DECADES. Rays fans can survive the 10 minute heart break. With that said, GO EAGLES!

I've seen a couple of thier games this year and yet even though they had a great year last year and got to the world series. There's still only about 500 people going to thier home games, it's really a disgrace. The Marlins and Rays are two franchises that don't deserve any success.

Thanks for pointing out those Championship Wins. Beating the Eagles in Philly was by far one of the greatest moments of my football watching life. To me, that NFC Championship Game WAS the Super Bowl. But you see, I won't stoop so low as to say the Eagles sucked that year. I can't say the same about most of the commenters on here that are Phillies Fans. I'll admit, the Rays were outplayed in the World Series last year, but can all of these Phillies fans own up to when the Eagles got beat?

Neither were the Philies for...about 25 years or so? Apparently the Rays don't "eat ballsssssssssssssss" either, they won the AL Pennant. If winning the AL Pennant means a team eats balls, what about the Red Sox or the Yankees?
