he was just......well......too easy! Omega was harder because of his mega defence. I killed shinryu in like 3 minutes. None of my guys got close to being killed. Why do you guys get killed? i dont get it

@itsallovernowWD way easier. He just has a really high defense, but his health is meh. I think you get lightbringer which casts holy when you beat him.

That fight is almost impossible if you have 4 red mages xD, the highest healing spell i could use was curaga... The third time he attacked, 3 of y mages were killed xD

I remember this fight being easy, but that's because I'd cast Saber and then keep casting Temper on my Knight. He did up to 5000 damage a hit before he died I think, then I just res'd him and kept on with Temper.

@PuShErStOrYtElLeR OMEGA is stringer that's for sure... he has like ultimate DEF even my warriors + masters dont do enough DMG to him... i made it barely with 1 priest + 2 Wiz + 1 Warrior / well i defeated him when both wizzy's were killed xD (oops)

@blackblur589 I'd say level 60 or higher. Just have your white wizard cast Healaga every round and black wizard go all out with his strongest spells. Have the knight and ninja temper and haste themselves up, and keep consistent on healing.

Try this. Use saber 3-5 times (giants gloves) and hermes shoes (the item) for your knight/ninja/monk. white mage using healaga and 2 other members using rune staff every turn. If your mage/s using healaga gets low on mp have the fighter stop and use any dry ether/ megalixer/ elixer. As long as each character has about 600 hp it should be game over for shinryu.

I actually screwed up on that boss... I was down to my Black Wizard and White Wizard. I had my White Wizard cast Healaga every single turn, and my Black Wizard would use the Judgement staff each turn, unless the White Wizard was running out of MP, he'd give her an Ether/Elixir. Took about 40 minutes. :S

Well my secret is the monk-master that can cause a shit load of damage when he's at a pretty good level and when he uses his fists.

@theworldwidekidman yes true but his MDEF is low so when Shinryu uses MATK's the master is dead very quickly.

Every time I use Protera, NulAll, Haste, etc, he ends up killing one of my characters, and when I bring them back the next turn, he uses Tidal Wave and kills everybody -_- (also, how did they do THAT much damage? I use Haste and Temper every turn, and they still only do about 600 -_-)

First of all, Haste doesnt stack. You can only use it once. Second, what lvl were you? what weapon did u have and which class? If it was a master or knight I would be surprised if he only did 600, but other than that...

Ok, I have the same chars as in the vid. What I do, is I have Knight 1 use red curtain, Knight 2 use white robe ( casts invisra ) White mage cast protera and black mage cast haste. Shinryu will most likely use Flare ( Which is why I used red curtain. ) Then I'll have Knight 1 attack, and Knight 2 cast blink, White mage will never do ANYTHING but HEALAGA the rest of the battle. Black mage will temper Knight 1 ( No time for Saber. ) Knight 2 will use items and such. :) I beat him easily.

yup dude, try using only one haste and then use temper on every turn, it helps a lot if you have a ninja and black wizard in your team its really helpfull because you can cast temper twice in a turn

to be honest... I found Omega and Shinryu dissapointing on here :( I beat them quite easily, with the same setup on here. Maybe it was because I was level 82... still though, optional bosses should still be hard at whatever level.

Yeah at that level everything's pretty easy lol. I fought Shinryu at level 49 without any endgame weapons, took over an hour -_-

i use this strtegy:

knight/master: attack

ninja/black wizard: temper on knight

white wizard: protera(1st turn only)/ healaga

black wizard/red wizard: haste(1st turn only)/temper on knight

please note: haste is used on knight.

this should work, it works when i use it =)

No its ragnarok- the second best weapon in the game (the most powerfull is ultima weapon)

Even if you're at Lv99, Proably Impossible to kill with bare stats. Even Ultima Wep would pwn him. Not even Omega, but maybe Chaos.

Depending on your party set up, Shinryu can be harder than Omega, but statistically, those 2 bosses are the strongest in the entire game, and the strongest bosses relative to your party.

For some reason, I like the GBA's version of this battle music. The parts of the music from 00.47-1:03 just seem more "powerfull" than the PS/PSP versions. Too bad the NES version didn't have boss music.

actaully i thought omega was harder. his normal attack does like sometims 200-500, which is slaughter. also wave missle or whatever it is is , I THINK, a litte bit stronger than shinryus area attacks. but this is just IMO

It's not that hard to do, actually. I got to level 52 already, and I'm only in the Hellfire Chasm. Of coarse, I annihillated the Feinds first, then takled the Earthgift Shrine. ^-^* so, Don't give up!

I had my Ninja and Black Wizard defeated, and my White Wizard and Knight were the only ones left, and my Knight was doing around a thousand damage per hit, but no luck.

When you use Full-Life, it delays you one turn of healing. All of my guys are dead-on level 50. Guess I have to keep training?
