  • This was a fantastic, inspiring documentary, just watched it today. Thanks.

  • gferinandus3, I too stumbled on this while watching an EWF video. I spent my Sunday morning watching all 21 clips. Thank you so much for posting this! Thank you sharing the incredible journey of the best band of all time EWF! There will never be another band like this! They are simply the best!!!

  • Wow! Loved the documentary on the best band of all time! It was great to see Maurice White! Thank you so much for posting!

  • nice series, watched them all, thanks for the effort.

  • Thank you for the post. It was great!

  • Thanks for this great documentary!!! EWF is classic!

  • I cried while watching this documentary. Their will never be another group like EWF...never! I am proud that I got to meet them, got to actually soundcheck on the drums in A.C. and met Maurice White at that soundcheck. I would love to see Philip, Verdine, Ralph, Larry, Fred, Andrew, Johnny, Al, add Sonny, Morris, Sheldon, the Phoenix Horns and some of the other percussionist & singers play together 1 more time together...that would be the best show ever!

  • I hate to be the one to bring up terrible info but this is my favorite band ever and one of my saddest memories was in the 80's when the bastards from LAPD choked Don Myrick, the main saxophone player, to death in his own apartment. Around the time their were using this illegal choke hold that they were later told to stop doing. The media (the bastards that they are) would joke and say only blacks would die from this choke hold.

  • Hey, Ephesian.....nice comment. Without Johnny, Al, Larry, Andrew, Freddie, Don Myrick & the horns, it's just a cover band with Phillip & Verdine.

  • Very good

  • Thanks a lot for posting this doc.

  • Thank you for this. I just watched them all, I feel so joyous, as I always do when I hear them. What a great bunch of guys. Now I love them more than ever.

  • I watched from 1 to 21,cried on 20,and told my children about the greatest band that ever lived.I was raised on EWand F,all those songs have a special place in my heart.I saw them last year for the first time and they were awesome but I missed Maurice, but found it hard to take my eyes off of Verdine what a showman.Philip was amazing he still has that voice.Thank you EWand F for the memories and Maurice God bless you, music woudn't be what it is today had it not been for you.

  • Nice try my favorite group of all time ! But with out Larry , Al ,Andrew and Fredd Johnny and the horn section it's not the same not even close ill keep my memories of the original group from the 70's Love ya still.

  • I might be the only young white person in this small Kansas town that likes EWF

All the songs have a happy feeling to them...and never fail to please the listener.

  • the cool t hing about that is with this group, they simply love people and the music, they play and give of themselves for you as they did for me, so my lil brother, they are about love...oh yeah, did you make the concert in KCMO last Fall, i did also they are coming back to the Sprint center, already got my tickets, so hope you can make it, I'll be kickin it with some friends of mine in the 16th row on the floor, so you can jam with us, hope to see ya :), if not...but in spirit

    peace

  • I'm the same in Oklahoma, I know how you feel! Not enough people today appreciate great music like EWF, they're missing out!

  • gferinandus3...I stumbled on this, and had never seen it before, Oh my God, you have made one tired black lady who just got off from work a very happy lady...there is much a BIG smile on my face, and you are to blame...WOW...watching this made me realize why I loved them from the beginning of their careers... like the previous post stated simply the best =)

    stay blessed

  • simply the best....

  • I would not be the person I am today, were it not for the music of EWF. Thank you for posting this documentary.

  • Yo Dang right! you Cats might have had to work with Big business to keep a roof over your heads etc. but I know for me, what i always sensed was real love for the music! and real care for those who listened to what you had to express. Now if EWF could ever use a Roadie I am willing to make to journey! Been trained by the best in OTR Trucking, have done the Limo thang, Security, Love playin Bass when I have another one. but the point is if this dream could happen even at now Fifty Thank God!

  • Thank-you
