  • Nice video.

  • What style of fighting are you using

  • @GuitarFisherman2112 generally martial arts choreography is a mix of tons of things that appear to sell to the camera.

In this particular video there was some long fist Kung Fu, some San Soo, Taekwondo, Muay Thai, a lot of street fighting, boxing, and some basic shotokan karate.

  • Hey I love your guys stuff.. all your Indy Movies our really well put together.. Liking it keep up the good work

  • @mchlmclean6 Thanks man. This is one of my massively old films... my newer stuff is FAR BETTER THAN THIS!!!

  • good job

  • @randyds5 This is my old stuff. My recent videos are 100000x better

  • buenos videos felicidades

  • 3:37: "I decide which lines we rip off from the karate kid!!!"

joking aside, this was bad-ass and awesome.

  • @roflcopterprods lol... yeah... it was all we could think of to sat at the time...lol

  • @dardrex777 didn't know until now, the big guy with the mustache was also in wager.

    the wrestler guy.

  • @seanw23 Nathan... yup :)

Ian is also in Wager 2... he has a mustache now lol

  • I really liked this. Nice to see budding filmmakers doing their thing and having some talent in fight choreography too.

Perhaps the sound could be worked on, especially to deal with the high level of reverb in the car park scene, but I do appreciate that equipment is expensive.

From a creative perspective, you might consider a high energy backing track (such as euphoric trance) for the fight scene, which would both give it dynamism and mask the reverb issue, but generally, well done!

  • @tanelkagan I would like to point out this video is almost a year old and all I had was a dinky one chip camera and no mics so picture and sound couldn't be helped with what I had.

As far as music I was trying to go for more subtle tracks with this one and let the combat sell the energy... usually my music choices are very bombastic.

My current films have better cameras and shotgun mics so you might want to see one of my newer videos.

Thank you for your well thought out critique.

  • @dardrex777 Point taken - I'll check out the newer stuff. :-)

  • @tanelkagan Cool. I'd recommend my films, Underpass, Extortion, and my Fight Choreography Documentary called Choreographed Storytelling.

  • @dardrex777 nice choice of starter music for the 2nd fight; resident evil extinction soundtrack?

  • @seanw23 It's my artistic choice that's all I can tell you. And I also used Equilibrum's soundtrack at the end

  • @dardrex777 resident is the coolest one. fit the mood of the fight perfectly. i just recognized it cuz i saw that movie

  • @seanw23 sorry I misunderstood... I thought you were questioning "WHY" I used the song as opposed to "WHAT" the song was... my bad. :)

Thanks for all your comments :)

  • lol made the guy limp nice

  • q bostaaa

  • Hahaha this is a littlee bit corny but it's definitely a good example of how a martial artist should be. My Kung Fu center I trained and got a third dan black belt with, was closed down due to sues from angry parents of kids there who would learn martial arts and go fight outside. My instructor opened a new one and only a few of his black belts were allowed back, including myself. Loving the title "Last Resort" by the way. This video definitely a likee

  • @Psionify I'm glad you appreciate the philosophy... not many martial artists respect that concept anymore... especially with UFC being around tainting it.

  • nice muay thai clinching haha. This is insanely well choreagraphed

  • @crazyasian785 thanks... you should check out my film EXTORTION... far better choreography.

  • big guy got down

  • To Dardrex777.. I think you're awesome! Keep up the good work of being the next Sammo Hung

  • @1Fireycat lol... I'll do my best :)

  • Very Nice:)...;)

  • That was awesome guys! great choreography and sound effects and all nice work!

  • That was awsome guys! great choreography and sound effects and all nice work!

  • honestly this was pretty good, stumbled upon it on accident..kept me interested!

  • @marcjoner16 thanks for the view

  • hey don't even stress it man the keyboard warriors are one of the worst haters but that's all they are your a hard worker man keep doing what your doing

  • @brandonlee0071 their ignorance makes me laugh

  • @dardrex777 lol definitely

  • super gay

  • @marshman721 I love it when haters like you flame yet don't have the balls to make your own vids yet you come off like some kind of wannabee expert. You haters make me laugh.

  • Yo I think u did a fantastic job

can u post up tutorials on how 2 do sum of those moves???

  • @moesamuri I'm in the works of making some action filmmaking tutorials... I should have one made next month

  • the big guy looks like kevin james

  • @SuperDujour never heard that one before

  • what for a crap!!!

the fat kid could never be a fighter...lol

    looks like kids playing

  • @R0kkAngel Weight doesn't matter... I got a silver at my last tournament.

FIght Choreogrpahy and real fighting are different worlds dude... don't comment if you are going to be ignorant please?

  • @R0kkAngel tell that to sammo hung...weight doesn't stop shit

  • sound changes a bit when you change the camera view

  • @94amaru this was long before I audio balenced... this film is 8 months old

  • Great choreography! How long have you guys been doing this?

  • @Anbaro99 About 4 years

  • u guys should start using blood effects,as hard as you guys fight

  • @l2q I've used blood before... just didn't feel like doing it for this one... none of the blow were that devestating

  • Why did the guy leave his laptop on the table? :P

  • @0lecm0g We joked about that ourselves several times

  • good job guys .

I wait for the next one!

  • Nice short video, I loved the philosophy you placed into your video as a fight being the last resort and trying to talk your way out of confrontation as these are values I become aquainted with every day at my dojo. Fanatstic editing by the way and what kind of camera did you use and was it expensive?

  • @Coldshadow25 No in fact its a pretty crappy little one chip panasonic camera.

What I did was a lot of color correction to fix some of it like adding a blue tint to the garage and saturating a lot of the color in the other scenes.

  • @dardrex777 ok, so what were the megapixels though. I have my own movie scripted but dont know if the camera is gonna cut it. Its a digital sony cybershot with 7.3 megapixels and was wondering if that is enough? thanks man.

  • @Coldshadow25 any camera above a sell phone is probably gonna be fine. Most comsumer cameras are little one chip hand held cameras (like mine) it's not the best but it can work. If it captures movement well... it's probably good enough.

Alot of what makes it a movie is editing... how its cut... color correction... visual fx... sound fx... score... etc

  • Sweet Chin Music at 4:06. Amazing fight scene guys. Well done.

  • @xXGen3sisXx It's from the movie Equilibrium

  • As a man with a black belt of my own I can THROUGHLY appreciate the stance of the main character. He tries to avoid the fight, attempts diplomacy first...and truly does use his fists and feet as a last resort. I apply the same philosophy, which has helped me talk my way out of 3 confrontations. And when it DID come to blows I was able to prevent any serious injury to myself or my opponent. I give this video 5 stars

  • @Cen2050 you are the first to comment on the philosophy I put into the movie... this is how a true martial artist should live in my opinion and I'm glad someone can relate and appreciate it.

  • IDK what order these vids are all in, but I just discovered them today, and they just keep getting better! Thanks for the response BTW. Have you tried adding fake blood, maybe some slomo shots to enhance some scenes? I would love to get involved in a project like this! Must be tons o fun!

  • @samuski36 I've used fake blood many times and slow mo much more than that... I didn't for Last Resort because I wanted a realistic pace.

  • lol that's a funny fake ^^

    but it's gay

  • @8izzi8 I guess you didn't observe "fight choreographer" in the credits.... why are you youtube haters all lacking in common sense... oh well at least you give me a laugh

  • @8izzi8 it is called CHOREOGRAPHY... real fighting looks like shit on camera

  • Actually this was pretty badass!

  • Good camera angels, good editing and most importantly: very good stunt coordination. That was very very impresive. Are you actually amateurs, or do you have to do with that on a professional basis?

    Anyway, THX for posting

take care and have a nice day

    silk

    ;-))

  • Excellent Choreography

  • dude you ROCK all your videos are scenes about real life and martial arts i really like that especially when you figh one in a duel

  • this is reall good

  • Nicely Done

  • what no blood

  • I actually did have blood in mind... but forgot it when we started shooting... CRAP!!!

  • @dardrex777 at toys r us I bught a long cylindrical sprayng tool made as a water gun.. it was about a dollar.. I cut up the output hole so it was m oer like a star than a circle.. and filled it with fake blood. It makes a beautiful spray and was very innexpensive! ANyway You folks are quite skilled at making fight scenes thank you very much for sharing

  • lolz, muay thai front kick to the chest, pretty nice man.

  • Great movie, guys. Very enjoyable. I'm getting flashbacks to Sammo Hung's work. :3

  • Yeah a Streets of Rage thing would be pretty cool. I really liked this, Hollywood ain't got nothin' on your fight scenes. Very well acted and thought out.

  • thanks :)

  • more realistic than usual
