This was made famous on the early television show around 1954 - "Victory at Sea". Usually played when showing shipboard life as the sailors relax before a big and bloody battle and think of the girls they left back home. Oh, it was so deceivingly romantic. Perry sure sings it great.
I think this is the type of song he preferred to sing and it shows better the quality of his voice and what he was able to do.

Ronnie Hilton does a good job on this lovely song, but does not come close to Perry's version, his voice is not as good as Perry's.
