I am not antisocial I just tend to make sure i dont let people get comfortable and crossing boundries. See, this personally breaks my heart. People claim "God doesn't care, God doesn't care". He watched His own son going through all of that, but imagine how badly that hurt His own feelings. He knew His son was there for a purpose... just as all of us are here for our own. Imagine how it hurts Him to watch us suffer, His loved creations, His children, and His people. He cares, but is letting us fulfill our purposes...
I wept bitterly when I watched him get whipped, and I bawled at his suffering. Nothing has touched me so much than the selfless sacrifice of God and his Son.

A boy in our town just passed away last tuesday at age 10 from cancer. He was an incredible boy who fought till the very end! He had cancer twice and beat it the first time but not the second.. This song was played at his funeral while a slideshow of old pictures of him smiling and laughing were playing and i dont think there was a dry eye in the church! RIP Matt we miss you a ton but we know you are in heaven and out of pain. I'll see you someday-3
I am praying for everyone on responding to this song....yes, I lost a loved one last month, lilttle Jeremiah would have been 2 yrs. old the same month he passed away. To Nicholas Moore, He died October 8th of EB, the butterfly disease. He was ten years old. He went to the hospital for a bone marrow transplant six months ago. He only had the transplant because he wanted to play football with his brother. Nicholas, your brother, Jack, wont ever let you go.

Why is Jesus on this? it's not about him. This song reminds me of my little who had cancer. He died of it when he was 11 and I was 14, I'm 17 now and I'm still not over it. But the tot that he (my Dad) was in a better place and that the life we live is not a permanent one is what put me thru. I can understand why someone would want to drop God after that, but I just want to tell you something. 2 people in my life who believed in God separately have lost their best friend through someone else's mistake. One of them dropped God, & he is still bitter, sad, & is going down a path that is sad to see. The other ended up sticking with God, though she doubted. It was painful, but now she is stronger than she was ever before.

"Take me God TAKE ME!!!!" and as they stabbed Him her baby boy even though He was a man she must have wept harder then I could even imagine.... that's what this song is showing us the fear of Jesus let this cup pass from me but let your will be done the heart ache of Jesus's mother as she let Him go to die that's what this song is showing us a real man with a real mother real feelings and a real life He came off His throne to experience just what we go through ourselves

My son got caught up with some bad kids and started doing the wrong things, I worked night shift til 3am I am divorced. He was the least likely kid I ever thought would fall to addiction, but at 15 he lost all control, left school, stole and ended up in hospital. No matter what I did it didn't help. He agreed to go to rehab and I put his life in Gods hands. He was released but decided to move away up north with family becuz he's not ready to face the temptations.I love him & miss him so much!

Oh God, I cry when I hear this. It takes me to when my son said "Yes." when I asked if he was feeling suicidal. My wife & I were immediately thrust into every parents worse nightmare. This song expressed both of our desires to take his place, to take his pain away & make everything better. We took him to ER & had to commit him for observation. That was the absolute hardest thing we've ever done, but everything turned out ok. He just got married last Saturday & is doing fine. Praise God ! !

God let sad stories happen because that it's the only way we realize that his gift "live" it's what it matters and unfortunately thru pain we get together and share with our friends and family all together. @elliot0409 My son died 7 weeks ago... from what we don't yet know. He had a sudden heart attack and then at the hospital he had a stroke... at the age of 5. Everyone is already forgetting the pain. I thought that our family and friendships would become stronger and instead everyone around us has forgotten. I DO question God because I can't for the life of me understand why my son had to be taken. I have a hard time believing that God loves us right now even though deep, deep down I know it.

Yet I must disagree with you on one fact. In many performances (On his cd Mark Schultz Live... A Night of Stories and Song for example), he has told this heartwrenching story, but the good news is he said that his friend's son survived.

Passion of the Christ, really good movie. Just like Saving Private Ryan, I can't watch it too often. It gets really emotional at points.

I am praying for everyone on responding to this song....yes, I lost a loved one last month, lilttle Jeremiah would have been 2 yrs. old the same month he passed away. We know 4 sure that he is running around, being his precious self in God's presence. It is what gives us peace, I am praying 4 all those who lost loved ones, they are w/God-in God's presence! To Nicholas Moore, He died October 8th of EB, the butterfly disease. He was ten years old. He went to the hospital for a bone marrow transplant six months ago. He only had the transplant because he wanted to play football with his brother. Nicholas, your brother, Jack, wont ever let you go.

Why is Jesus on this? it's not about him. This song reminds me of my little who had cancer. He died of it when he was 11 and I was 14, I'm 17 now and I'm still not over it. It's entirely unfair how he had to die and others like myself who are less deserving get to live. I wish I could have had his place. I don't believe in God or Jesus anymore. But damn this song hurts to listen to :/

We've all suffered in life, I too lost my dear father who died of cancer 3 years ago, still havent recovered becos i loved him so much. Jesus himself came, suffered and died for us to show us the way to God. Stay strong and ask him to direct u and I'm confident he will just as he did to me.

But the tot that he (my Dad) was in a better place and that the life we live is not a permanent one is what put me thru. We are just passing thru a journey wit God leading us, whether we get to live long or short is not what really matters, but how we live our life on earth, cherishing everyone moment that passes by.Take care.

I can understand why someone would want to drop God after that, but I just want to tell you something. 2 people in my life who believed in God separately have lost their best friend through someone else's mistake. One of them dropped God, & he is still bitter, sad, & is going down a path that is sad to see. The other ended up sticking with God, though she doubted. It was painful, but now she is stronger than she was ever before.

Marry was simply a woman. Not the mother of God. But mother of the Man Jesus ( who left his form of God) . She had to be faithful and she was our sister in Jesus. She accepted Jesus as her savior . My son got caught up with some bad kids and started doing the wrong things, I worked night shift til 3am I am divorced. He was the least likely kid I ever thought would fall to addiction, but at 15 he lost all control, left school, stole and ended up in hospital. No matter what I did it didn't help. He agreed to go to rehab and I put his life in Gods hands. He was released but decided to move away up north with family becuz he's not ready to face the temptations.I love him & miss him so much!

I did some things out of anger and my mom was a single mom but she never let me leave without a hug? even if I was saying bad things to her? even if I left in anger I knew I could come home! she could be heard singing and praising god and I would think she was crazy? it would make me so mad! This is Wesley's song to my .precious son who contracted aids from a blood transfusion in 1979. He was 6 and not allowed to go to school or play with other kids. How simple things are we take for granted a baby going thru all normal milestones. This disease distroyed my family. He died in 2008. I miss you wes.

I don't know Mark, but I am familiar with alot of his friends. The story I was told was that he wrote this song in thinking about this young man and his family. He broke this out while they were sitting in the front row and narry a dry eye was there.
It could be an old wives tale, but it is how I was told. He sang this song directly at them.

This reminds me so much of my son. He passed away about a month ago. And he would be 4 months old today. He had many complications. We spent all but two days of his life in the hospital. All I could do when I heard this song was cry. It hurts, but I know now he is in a better place. Im sorry for your friends' loss Mark.

This song isn’t about Mary and Jesus. The first part of this song is literally about a mother praying for her little boy. I imagine her sitting on her son’s bedside in his bedroom, praying these words to God in her heart. The last part of the song is literally God the Father speaking to the hearts of men, “Can You Hear Me? Can You See Him? Please Don’t Leave Him. HE’S...MY...SON.” This song isn’t about Mary. It’s about God the Father trying to reach the hearts of mankind. It's God's "prayer."

Oh God, I cry when I hear this. It takes me to when my son said "Yes." when I asked if he was feeling suicidal. My wife & I were immediately thrust into every parents worse nightmare. This song expressed both of our desires to take his place, to take his pain away & make everything better. We took him to ER & had to commit him for observation. That was the absolute hardest thing we've ever done, but everything turned out ok. He just got married last Saturday & is doing fine. Praise God ! !

The writer obviously interpreted his friends feelings for his son and the situation and the video of this song just fit perfectly. I don't question God but I know he loves us and we do not know how to love like him at all. God let sad stories happen because that it's the only way we realize that his gift "live" it's what it matters and unfortunately thru pain we get together and share with our friends and family all together. @elliot0409 My son died 7 weeks ago... from what we don't yet know. He had a sudden heart attack and then at the hospital he had a stroke... at the age of 5. Everyone is already forgetting the pain. I thought that our family and friendships would become stronger and instead everyone around us has forgotten. I DO question God because I can't for the life of me understand why my son had to be taken. I have a hard time believing that God loves us right now even though deep, deep down I know it.

Honestly people who dislike this just don't need to be around. I feel sorry for Mark Schultz Friend. He came to him asking him to sing this song for his son. His son had Leukemia And didn't have much time to live. Mark got this song out after His friends son passed away. I wish him the best of luck and to have fun sitting next to god for eternity.

Yet I must disagree with you on one fact. In many performances (On his cd Mark Schultz Live... A Night of Stories and Song for example), he has told this heartwrenching story, but the good news is he said that his friend's son survived.
