Thats amazing that she would choose to do a gienger on bars and do it so well. I mean thats flipping and twisting and catching the bar while being blind in one eye. Amazing. I would think she would do a tkatchev or a jaeger. And that double twist dismount?!? She's really amazing.
Aimee trained at my gym with me in california one summer, & she was amazing!! I was a level 9 at the time, & she was super funny and surprisingly easy to talk to! I was really frustrated because I couldn't seem to master my dismount, a gainer layout-full off the side of the beam. I kept bending my legs at the end so I wouldn't eat it. She literally SHOWED me a way to do it that made it simple & also one off the front of the beam. It was my dismount until the day I quit gymnastics :) Thanks Aimee
Im hard to hearing and Im almost blind in one of my eye. I had alot of teachers and kids saying I can't get to college or drivers license and can't do what hearing people can do, well guess what Im doing basketball, and volleyball, dance and im only age 13. Im going to show the people what I can do, and show who I really am. A Deaf or blind person can do the same thing as a hearing person can do. Im proud of her. Keep up the good work :)
@kennedydancer ouch! You may have to get a cochlear implant if all goes badly for you. You seem to have a progressive deafblindness going on. I don't know what type, but that you have one terrifies me.
Blind in one eye is not big deal.. I can see everything three dimensional.. etc.. etc.. and I competed in 2 world artistic roller skating championships.. I don't know the difference .. just my range of vision is smaller than having 2 eyes
But Aimee not only competes on vault and floor, she competes on a 4 inch beam and on bars. Her perspective IS affected and yet she perseveres and is darn good. I had the opportunity to know her and judge her many times. she is quite remarkable and very humble.
sheee is soo tough. anyyy gymnastt who is blind in one eye and deaf and does that good at gymnastics is deffinetly a very strong personnn (: good job. keep up the good work. (:
im blind in one eye i had teachers and my own family telling me i can't go to college or get a drivers License well guess what i got my license, a car, living on my own and in college and this fall i will be taking my majors for respirtoy therapy and no one is going to stop me!!! woo-hoo!!!
I'm blind in one eye and competed at gymnastic competitions and represented britain in the over 11's and won all my competitions. But my ex-coach kicked me out after he found out i was blind in one eye just because i was blind in my right eye, even though i won all the competitions.
Good for her for not letting a disability get in her way. And good for her because it teaches other people that we can do anything if we put our minds to it
wow I love it! I am also blind in my right eye and I am epileptic. I was told I wouldn't amount to much and that hurt I became an xray tech and I have 2 beautiful kids. I am older now. I am happy for you!
As a man blind in one eye, I approve.

I'm blind in one eye too... 3D movies, video games and television are a conspiracy specifically designed to keep us down.
She's incredibly hot.
