two-step rhythm instructional

i can keep rhythm with this song playing along with the band whenever i put on the central park stuff but i haven't tried it with anything else; however, i cannot keep rhythm if i try and use a pick to play this song so i have to strum with just my finger tips to do it. maybe people should try that? i haven't tried with a lighter gauged pick as they aren't of my preference so that may help for people having trouble too.

yeah, that's definitely a challenge with songs that strum so continuously and at a quicker pace than most. lighter guage might be worth trying.

not to be picky or anything, but you almost have it, although not quite. (i mean, if you play it fast enough it shouldnt matter anyway).

rather than the down-down-up-down-up, just hit the strings every beat. its syncopated (emphasis is on offbeats), so just hit 1-2-3-4 stressing beat 3.

Again, I don't think your way is wrong, just maybe an easier way of explaining it.

This is a great video. I also get off time when I try it with the band. I cant imagine singing as well.

it might be doable if the pitch weren't so tough. Definitely the rhythm makes it really hard but the variance of pitch makes it nearly impossible. I almost feel like i can play and sing satellite better than this one which i is definitely saying something...
