  • the soul in this piece is off the charts, u makin them keys cry right there

  • Again, I would definitely hire you to play at my party!

  • Robbie, I really enjoy listening to you play the Piano. You got soul kiddo! Diamond

  • very nice! can you say which chords you used in the song?

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds like Georgia on my mind...just a little bit...

  • And yeah, right, The Pussy Cat Dolls! Who CARES?!?!? When did they ever jazz it? Get over yourself ...FadedMaster.

  • a Young Donald Fagen in the making...You are skilllllled. Keep it up bro!

  • cold blooded man!

  • do you people realize this video is 35 years old??

  • huh?

  • OMG he's GREAT!

  • this is great

  • I like it, good stuff, I don't know who you are kid, but I get the feeling we're gonna hear your name alot in the future

  • can someone tell me what the chord progressions are for this improv?

  • It sounds like 'Georgia' to me. Not the original Hoagy Carmichael voicings of course, but that's what makes it so good. Just Google "Georgia" and ''chords" and you'll get the basic structure, the rest of it you'll have to figure out yourself. That's what makes good players. Maybe you could do your own rendition... something original and good in its own way.

  • wouldve been better with more right hand improvs towards the end..but the chord progressions are the bomb bro..

  • He's good. There is a maturity that's missing though. That maturity comes with experience. He plays all the right notes but there is no back bone. I can't feel it. Keep it up though.

    One love

  • Are you f*cking kidding?!?!? You can't feel it? Maybe you're the one with "no backbone"! What would it take to move you? I checked out your stuff. You're a technically solid player, I don't find you all that moving either. Regardless, as an elder musician speaking to a youngster , your comments are totally uncool. No need to blow wind up his ass but encouraging words without the condescending tone would have been far more appropriate.

  • This was over a year ago. Are you ok? I grew up hearing the chords he plays by cats who kill that stuff in their sleep. I don't think I move people until I move myself. I'm always growing sir. Have you googled my name? See the Grammy nomination with the pussycat dolls? Or the song with beyonce, or the tour with Lauryn Hill? No, man I suck. I know that. But some people seem to think i'm pretty good. I checked out your stuff and you don't even play so you have no platform.

  • Fader: Again, your wrong. I play and judging by the lame, scale driven dribble I saw you fiddlin around with no wonder you end up backing commercial three chord schtoop like you do. Doesn't take much to sit behind a band like that. One handed even. Takes a bit to be a Kenny Kirkland or a Bill Evans though. My main point though was that you, as an elder pro, didn't need to diss a young up and comer. But your ego got in the way and decided this was all about you. Good luck at the Grammies, chump.

  • Faded Master: And as for Beyonce, While she may be hot, and come up with catchy pop tunes no doubt, it's hardly challenging musically. Why are you bragging about it? The chorus to 'Single Ladies' is a simple five notes of a descending major scale then a descending major arpeggio. Should that really be given any awards? Now be truthful. Let me know when your touring with Donald Fagen or Roy Hargrove and I'll come check you out. Until then, you keep practising those "Blue Roses" ...and your Zen.

  • I couldn't even read all of this sir. I'm entitled to my opinion and you are yours. I never said the kid wasn't good. I just said he needs feeling. You have a good day. I will not reply to anymore of your postings.
