  • Your mad smart on this..I agree with you but at the same time I agree with Mark Driscoll..Id do nothing to serve another deity...i dont think its neccesarily "demonic" especially since many people dont know the background to it but 1. im a dude who doesnt do yoga and 2. I meditate on my Bible

  • Now flee from me your debate is weak and your deceived

  • I guess the problem is in calling it "yoga". Thus, I shall say "I'm off to do my stretching exercises"... since I don't hum or chant or meditate on anything akin to Hinduism or satanic worship while I stretch and strengthen my core muscles. I enjoy your videos!! Keep them coming!

  • To all these Christians saying yoga is of the devil you body is servant to who you yield it to just because you are doing certain postures doesn't mean you are yielding yourself to the devil. I could see there being some wrong to it if all these statues were around with incense and stuff but I highly doubt it. It just a form of fitness. Christmas trees have a pagan background does that mean I am worshiping the tree by putting it up? Its all about the heart and intents of it.

  • Yoga is all about self mastery. Unlocking your physical potential is a spiritual quest that is counted as righteousness before God. Think about it, our bodies are temples in which the Holy Spirit is meant to dwell. Yoga serves as a custodial practice for this temple that improves our health.

  • @TheOptimusprime9 Back up your statement in the bible?

  • @Soul7Patrol Easily.

1Cor 6:19-20 -Your body is God's temple. Glorify God in your body.

2Peter 1:5-6 - Make every effort (including physical) to grow in faith, virtue, knowledge, self control, godliness ect.

Deut 13:15 - Neglecting to care for your body through excessive self indulgence can lead to the rejection of the Rock of your salvation.

So you see, physical mastery is a righteous cause :). Namaste

  • @TheOptimusprime9 Lol 2 Peter 1:5-6 doesnt say physical dont twist the bible to preach a lie! yoga is from hinduism and we as christians dont part take is spiritualism because thats satanic..I Corin 6:19-20 has nothing to do with yoga lol 2 Corin 6:17 states clearly stay away from unclean things and yoga is not for true saints of GOD!! Romans 5:1 says we have peace in Jesus Christ...........and if you need yoga then your walk is weak and your deceived!!! REPENT.

  • @Soul7Patrol Those verses weren't in reference to yoga you dork. They were in reference to how physical fitness is part of self mastery. And of course these scriptures don't refer to yoga. In fact, yoga is nowhere mentioned in the Bible at all, so you stop twisting the Bible and pretending it forbids yoga. You are hijacking a religion of tolerance with your closed minded attitude towards other cultures. Believe all things, hope all things. Seek the good in all things. Repentance is for you too.

  • @Soul7Patrol also, 2 Peter doesn't say physical, it says "Every effort." So physical practices would be included in that in order to glorify God in your body.

  • @Soul7Patrol LOL i need too repent, your not a very smart are you...I was reading your comments on other videos and your cussing lol mmmmm dont be a hypocrite!!!

  • @Soul7Patrol So it's not hypocritical for you to tell me to repent, but it is when I mention you need repentance too? Yah, I cuss from time to time. I'm working on it. That has no relevance to the discussion we were having about the permissibility of yoga in the Bible. Bottom line, doing yoga is ok. You can do yoga and still be devoted to God.

  • @TheOptimusprime9 Wow your blind and a carnal christian, yoga comes from hinduism and too the bible it rebukes another gospel thats from the devil Galations 1:6-9, and your a christian and saying its ok to meditate on the moon and yoga practise and focus on deceiving satanic spirts and you say thats ok, Humble yourself because your digging yourself into a hole and in my eyes your just as blind as the ladys on this video and thats very poor standends as a christian!!! DO SOME REAL WORK FOR GOD

  • @Soul7Patrol Ridiculous. I suppose you don't celebrate Christmas or easter because they come from pagan origins as well? Well, I will continue to look for the good in all people and the good in all beliefs. 1 Thess. 5:21 "Test everything. Hold on to the good." Good wants you to find the good in all things. There is good in yoga and I will cling to it because everything that is good comes from God.

  • Yoga poses are OK. But the meditations are not.

  • You will be held accountable by God for leading Christians to Yoga and it's demonic spirits,

Yoga is of Satan, do some research instead of speaking from your own wicked heart.

REPENT!!! follow Jesus before it's to late.

If you would at least pray about it and asked the Holy Spirit to teach you the truth, you would have a clue.

  • Listern you need too be very careful cause now your preaching a diffrent gospel Galations 1:6-9.What you should be saying is i need to mediate on the word of GOD for my back NOT yoga! thats what a TRUE christian would say, and my advice to YOU is if you cant preach the truth then SHUT UP!!!!

  • That's what's wrong with Christianity today, people put a limit on God. They find any personal justification but can't grasp the principles of the Bible. How many times had Israel been cast away for making high places and bowing down to the Sun at the East (aren't some the Hindu gods incarnations of the Sun?)If they can't realize that God is upset with his people incorporating pagan religious beliefs in their lives and worship they need to read the Bible over again(or for the first time)

  • Yogurt is something you eat; Yoda is a green little dude; Yoga leads to sexual perversions (go ahead and deny it - but it's true)

  • @itubeyoublah Oh promises promises

  • WHY should a Christian do yoga? Twist not the scripture of Paul: "all things is lawful" is it lawful to have idols? Second 1 Timothy 4:8 "for bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come." Ask a real yogi if the practice of yoga is not spiritual? I would rather have 20 life threatening diseases and be assured by the Holy Spirit that I'll go to heaven than to be in sin and go to hell.

  • I do not understand why ppl confine god to something. Either god should be empty/nothing or god should be everything.. Simple truth if god is confined in certain place then he is not eternal that means he is not god anymore..

  • you people have no life.

  • Any religion apart from Christianity is of the devil. Yoga is inseparable from Hinduism. Hinduism is not Christian. Hinduism is therefore of the devil. And so is yoga.

  • Jesus Christ is my Lord however since i have taken up yoga i have had a reconciliation with satan. He spoke to me whilst i practised yoga, he told me that I didn't need to go to church anymore. he seemed so sincere that i now practise yoga everyday and haven't been to church in years. yoga has replaced bible class because i am addicted to the strong connection to demonic forces that it gives me. please pray for me

  • Have you lunatics ever even studied really studied christianity? the beginnings of chirstianity? Have you really studied the lives of John of the Cross, Saint Teresa of Avila, Saint Augustine? Have you ever dove deeper into your own spirituality?

  • I agree with your view of Yoga and I use it for physical benefits and use meditation time to focus on the Lord and I feel his delight through me. I feel it's a great way to take care of my body!

  • yoga means to be one with God!!....we practiced it to be one with what we believe in.

and those people are satanic that spew hate and i see so many comments here that are full of hate and insecurity. grow up people...ur in the 21st century.

  • it is funny to see christians are so much afraid what they are unable to understand and pronounce them non-biblical i.e satanic.

Being self proclaimed as tolerant religion, Christians go where ever they want and spread their word and world welcomes but when it comes to their turn,

well just one word = Hypocrites

  • You can't make something satanic something holy. If yoga was intended for satanism you can't then try to turn it into something holy, by simply changing the thoughts on meditation. You are still partaking of evil.

  • Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. U use this out of context! Reason Y I say this is because the verse before it clearly is talking about sinners and mockers and how they do not respect God's laws(ways). Then the Psalmist goes on to proclaim the Lord's law(ways) are good! Verse2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law(way) he meditates day and night. Clearly the Psalmist is meditating on Gods law(way) and not yoga!

  • Christianity gave us. - lnquisition in Spain and Goa - C rusades - Ethnic cIeansing of American Indians - SIavery - Iynchings - The Anti Chinese league of the Americas - Jim Crowe - The HoIocaust. Read the antisemitic rantings of Martin Luther the founder of the Protestant movement that was the impetus for the Holocaust. - Separate churches for blacks and whites in the bible belt. - Blood Iibel
  • The deception is that it is just excercise. Doing the postures opens one up to another dimension that can be very dangerous. Also each posture is bowing to pagan gods and is idol worship. As Christians we are to worship our creator not the creation. THERE ARE DANGEROUS SPIRITUAL IMPLICATIONS I HAVE PERSONALLY EXPERIENCED. Please see my yoga video testimony. Just b/c it seems harmless or even feels good does not mean there are not unseen consequences.

  • your right, If all you think about is yoga it becomes your God but if you Rely on jesus in everything you do you could use yoga as a practice.

  • I feel the same way. I love the exercise, but I also use that time to pray and to worship God.

  • Thanks for your insight. I came across your blog when searching for your photog. sister. You two do look a lot alike.

Maybe she can give you some advice on lighting so you can use it when you record.

    :-)

    God bless.

  • If you do yoga, is it wrong to do mantras??

  • Former Yoga practioner Laurette Willis claims, "“These are postures that are offered to the 330 million Hindu gods. Yoga postures really are; they are offerings to the gods. If you do these postures and you do this breathing technique and this meditation, then you will be accepted by a god, little “G.” See article titled "Should Christians Do Yoga" at CBN.com

  • first you state the postures areone and the same with physical and spiritual and then you say you do yoga? Are you 2 different people?

  • If you do additional research I think you will find that Yoga masters teach the foundation of Yoga is Hindu spiritualism which manifests through physical postures. Therefore, the way I see it, going to a Yoga class is akin to going to a Hindu “church service” meant to open the doors into a spiritual world that is NOT of Jesus Christ or the one true God.

For more info on Hinduism and Yoga search Google Videos for “God’s of the New Age”

  • Its just like using the word "luck" and saying good luck, "luck" is a pagan false god...

  • I do understand what you are saying BUT you have to also understand that the majority of people will practice everything the YOGI tells them to do- thus, when they are told to "meditate" and take the deep breaths, FEW (as yourself) will actually be taking the time to meditate on God. The meditation spoken about in scripture is differnt than that which is encouraged in Yoga, which is to get one to "center" oneself.

  • I agree and there's not much more that I can add but I'd just like to say kudos for actually giving verses defending your opinion.

    God bless.

  • I do not understand how god can be distinct from anything else. if so, u r limiting god and that means god is not universal / limitless. God is not a Personal Lord, nor a transcendent or formless Being, but is the totality of all existence, including universal laws

, movement, matter, etc. This is what i have been taught. I'm hindu and i practice yoga & meditation. I always felt and still feeling it to be more practical and meaningful than anything else. Yoga is the way to go guys!!
