There are just two signs I don't know. When the song says "love of mine" at the beginning, you sign "my [sign] love" but I don't know what the middle sign is, and I haven't had any luck asking the Deaf people I know. Also they were unfamiliar with the sign you make as the song says "I held my tongue." Either that or I signed it to them wrong. It could just be a regional thing, though. Please, what do these two signs mean?

I actually like that you are mouthing the words, contrary to the opinion of someone who commented with "tips". Personally, I like to see the connection of the spoken words with the signs, I get more out of it when signing is done with lip-syncing.

you have a lot of potential... you have the production of signs down... but honestly the fact that it was signed english was a little disappointing... there's a lot of beautiful interpretations that can be done with this song so don't feel like you have to stick to the lyrics word for word.... it's much better if you don't... try to think of interpreting it so it's semantically correct rather than a word for word translation

I have been watching asl song videos for like 2 years and I never comment but I had to for yours. You are the clearest signer I have yet to see on youtube. Your signs are never lazy and are easy to understand and you make good choices as far as picking the right signs to create a picture that still capture the meaning of the song. Keep it up. No one is saying that he didn't do well. Except it's not ASL. The people saying this are members of the Deaf community, and they're trying to make sure that people don't get the wrong idea about ASL. I think it's a beautiful song, and a great interpretation. But it's not ASL. That doesn't diminish my ability to appreciate it.

@Multispeedly ASL has it's own kind of "grammar" and word order. when you sign SEE [signed exact english] it's in spoken english word order. also, SEE has a few different signs than ASL.

One of my favorite songs....however this is not ASL. You should change the title to "I will follow you into the dark in PSE" Be careful when representing ASL. Watch some Deaf people signing poetry and music for some really good examples of ASL. Or ask a Deaf friend to help you interpret this song in ASL. Your sign production is really good though, very clear signs and fingerspelling.
