@hannakagamine11 That is not true, Sweet Ann was the first Vocaloid of the 2nd Generation. You should re-read that on wikipedia. Miku is the "FIRST JAPANESE VOCALOID RELEASED" in the "VOCALOID CHARACTER SERIES". almost all vocaloid fans know that. :)

your information of miku is wrong. miku was the first vocaloid to get popular with a anime box cover. mirium was the first vocaliod. hatsune i forgot what it means but miku is the proper was of saying 39 in japanese. or if your translate vocaloid from english to japanese on google it will say hatsune miku . so you information is incorrect.

you can never believe everything on vocaloid wiki. in formal Japanese. which is not kanji. cause miku's name is written in Katakana it will say Mi as in 3 and Ku as in 9. This is why miku's live concert is named 39 giving day.

That's why it's tradition to write your name when introducing yourself to a class. I'm not saying that Meowied is definitely right, just that your argument does not disprove Meowied's. The way I understand it is that they chose her name based on hirigana meanings and chose the date of the concert (3/9) based on homophonics.
