I would think that it would eventually occur to millions of people that it is time to take an interest in gas prices. Here's the problem, people are more interested celebrity gossip, and sports than the thieves who are destroying our economy.
I agree with you seneca67 about our nation's attention span being at kindergarten levels. The media and the government knows this too. In fact, they'd rather see us stay amused by celebrity hi-jinx, rather then our attentions focusing on White House hi-jinx.

If you take all of the other products on the market and have a look at the price development of the past 50 years, you will notice that only oil gets cheaper and cheaper and cheaper in relation to the other products. I dont understand why you are complaining about 4 USD/gallon. Just buy a reasonable car that doesnt need 1 gallon to start it.
