I think Ne-Yo was listed as a feature b/c his voice sounded familiar on the track so you had give him credit.

Gotta disagree with you on some of your points.

The song "What You Do" features Ne-Yo because he does all of the background vocals. So yes, you DO hear Ne-Yo throughout the whole song.

In "Blame It On Me" she is tellin the guy that he can say whatever he needs to say to soothe himself through the breakup, just as long as its over. Not that she necessarily WANTS to be blamed, she just wants the relationship to be over. Its like a continuation of the song "Epiphany".

the whole album is good actually. when i heard she collaborated with neyo i was like its gonna be just the same old recycled rnb stuff (and that is hard to admit to by the way considering neyo's contribution to music in the past few years) and that she was gonna stop "feeling ms ella, ms sarah vaughn and ms natilie cole (oooh-ooh)". she left the unique jazz rnb thing behind in some songs and went mainly rnb. and as a fan of the first album, i didn't like it at first but it really is a good album

Thanks for this. I really love Chrisette's talent and I think 'I am' is a modern classic. I was very sceptical about the Neyo connection, I am not one of his fans. However I am coming round to the idea of purchasing 'Epiphany' since I doubt anything she puts out could be bad.

My favorite song is Fragile. She infused her Jazzy style of singing with R&B. The way she sings it... you would swear she's been there. She's believable. So to me... vocally... this is the one for me. I like uptempo songs. But there even BETTER when someone SANGS on an uptempo track.

I just don't like the fact that she has a white boy for a lover in her video. why not an asian or another derivative of the black race.

Why do we feel the need to do what she thinks is best. White boys just are not that hot. A latino, puerto rican, dominican, or JAMAican, or Asian would have sufficed. Like whitemen are looking to really marry us.

Ok, good thing she didn't stay in the box of what everyone was expecting her to do, with this album she has gain more listener and possible fans. She gave a really classy and classic R&B sound this time around.

I think you are pretty much right on. You should have noted that Ne-Yo co-wrote 90% of this album. Yes, Ne-Yo was "featured" on What You Do because his vocals were most pronounced on this track. Besides, the track is sooooo hot that he probably wanted people to know his involvement on this one:o)LOL I thought some of the tracks were a little immature based on subject. The songs were wonderfully written but it sounds like things a younger girl will appreciate.

I think he wanted some credit for this song because before he had signed part of the rights over to Chrisette he had already made a single with this song. You can find it somewhere here on YouTube, but it sounds alot better with her on it. It sounded a little flat with just him on the track by himself. But yes, I did forget tom mention that heb co-wrote 90% of her new album.

She featured Ne-Yo on What You Do, because if you really listen to all of her tracks he does a lot of her background vocals. But this song is where his voice was the most pronounced, so she was just basically giving him some credit.

PLEASE LISTEN TO HER FIRST ALBUM!!!! Her first album is titled I AM. It is FAR better than this one. I was kinda disapointed with this album EPIPHANY. I only like the songs Epiphany, What you do (both can be heard on the radio) and Porcaline Doll (hot). All the other songs I really didnt care for. PLEASE LISTEN TO HER FIRST ALBUM titled I AM. I totally agree with you!!!! Her first album was very soulful, jazzy and laid back. This one is more mainstream upbeat songs. What you do is a good song should be the next single. Overall, its a good album 3 out of 5 but the first album is awesome so many people are sleeping on her seriously.

I haven't heard the new album yet, but I've seen many people online say its good already. That's great to see, but no surprise on my part because I love her debut album. If you haven't heard that yet Skorpion check that one out. She also sings the hooks on Jay-Z's- Lost Ones, Nas- Can't Forget About You, and The Game's- Let Us Live. Her voice is so unique it sounds like a jazz sample from back in the day.
