My mother went to this school. so did my aunts and uncles in the 90s. They always told me how bad it was and how they fought so much trying to defend themselves. If the right people step up and help I bet all this stuff at Miami Edison is gonna end, but of course I only hear whats wrong over there and whats wrong with the kids. Never do I hear they made some improvements to help them out!

Edison High school is rated by the state as a failing school. Only 10% of the students are reading on grade level and only 30% are at grade level in math skills. Its not really a school, just a warehouse to keep kids off the street during the day.

Actually it is not failing. They were 8 points from a "C" and had the largest academic gains in the STATE. Hence, prompting the Governor Charlie Crist to visit the school last semester. Get the right info before you comment.

OK I'm sorry. It was failing, it came up from a F to a D school this year. Its still one of the worst high schools in the state academically. The students can't read, write or do basic math. After the riot local news interviewed five students, not a single one of them was capable of speaking correct English. The only thing that school produces is gangsters, illegitimate babies, and welfare mothers.
