Why do you assume that thieves, murderers and other criminals would not be repressed under Anarchy? Anarchy is not the reign of love, but the reign of justice.
corporations may be provided for by the state but they are also restricted and limited by it, if those restrictions were removed in the name of 'market anarchism' then corporations would obviously become all powerful. tell me how independent traders are supposed to compete with corporations in a 'truly free' market.

Corporations cannot exist in a free market. You do not understand that a corporation, as it exists, IS A SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT PRIVILEGE. The laws of liability, person hood, and other various legal status/privilege place the corporation closer to the realm of state institution than market enterprise
the state prevents corporations from overtly or obviously damaging the environment, it taxes their profit, regulates to prevent illegal dealings, insider trading etc, competition laws prevent companies from having actual monopolies - to name just a few ways the state restricts corporations.
doubtless many governments are poor at actually holding companies to account but it is a fact that corporations would most benefit from less regulation.
it does more to enable them to use environments as they please, the EPA is responsible for more pollution than it has EVER prevented.
As for taxing profit, I have no problem with profit in the first place. But so far as many more obviously state intertwined corporations are concerned, it is a poor solution to enabling theft and monopolization, to punish it after the enabling.
monopolies are not possible in a free market. anti trust laws are used solely to destroy competition, NOT enable it.
again your mistake is in not seeing how these things are always in the favor of corporate interest. the Austrian school of economics has made an open and shut case against anti-trust laws and for the necessity of government intervention in creating monopolies.
regulation does not affect Microsoft, protections do not aid competition, they uphold existing powers and wage war upon competitors both foreign and domestic... sometimes literally.
Market anarchism is really nothing more then that of communism which is great, ensure that absolutely everybody has the basic things to survive, this way nobody dies on the street of starvation or preventable diseases because everybody is absolutely guaranteed life, and not just a "shot at" life.
If you think collectivism and anarchy are incompatible please look into the spanish civil war during the 1930's and see how they established a community compared to today modern communities.
