The prosperity gospel will take a lot of people to hell. It does not preach holiness, reverent fear of God almighty. it is sad that so many people do not see this.
Wealth tends to weaken us, frail as we are. Jesus knew this and gave us fair warning. If we have food, clothing, shelter we should be satisfied. Ok actually I have heard that before but to be honest I don't think what you call yourself is of any importance.I stopped going to church a couple of years ago so I don't have a pastor, I study the bible for myself and meet up with other beleivers regularly.I pop into churches now and then but when I do it reminds me why I don't go.Lots of beleivers don't really beleieve and subsequently their churches are dead and stale or else they try to copy pop culture to get more members.I'm not into it.
This is why you need to be connected to a local church. If you see these issues, and it bothers you, maybe god has called you to connect to these churches and address them, so that they can be corrected. If you see a problem and don't confront it, God holds you just as resposible for the problem as the ones causing the problem. You need to get back in church, because the local church needs you!

Dude, don't just read one verse and think that JUDAS (correctly spelled) was Jesus' "treasurer". Verse 4 of ch. 12 said that Judas was about to betray Jesus. Verse five, Judas was upset that they didn't sell the oil that Mary used to grease Jesus' feet. And verse 6 shows that Judas was not concerned about the poor, BUT WAS A THEIF!!! Do you honestly think that even if Jesus had a treasurer, which he did not, that he would not be a thief?!? Read the context, it all makes sense.

Wealth tends to weaken us, frail as we are. Jesus knew this and gave us fair warning. If we have food, clothing, shelter we should be satisfied. A lot of people in the world are missing one or more of those things and would consider us blessed. I'd like to think God blesses some with more so they can help more. Makes sense to me.

I see no problem with him getting wealth, because the bible says that it is God who gives us the power to get wealth, but I read the bible and it talks about a Harlot etc. This government should require them to pay taxes on all this wealth, the Churches have no real connection to confronting the issues of the day, you know A.I.D.S., drug addiction, and politics. Its all right to get money by hard work, but not to get possessed with it. These deceived people think they can throw away their money to a preacher, don't work and God will just give them money? Abraham had to do alot of traveling. Joseph got rich and he didn't strive after his wealth without going through hardship.

Ok actually I have heard that before but to be honest I don't think what you call yourself is of any importance.I stopped going to church a couple of years ago so I don't have a pastor, I study the bible for myself and meet up with other beleivers regularly.I pop into churches now and then but when I do it reminds me why I don't go.Lots of beleivers don't really beleieve and subsequently their churches are dead and stale or else they try to copy pop culture to get more members.I'm not into it.

This is why you need to be connected to a local church. If you see these issues, and it bothers you, maybe god has called you to connect to these churches and address them, so that they can be corrected. If you see a problem and don't confront it, God holds you just as resposible for the problem as the ones causing the problem. You need to get back in church, because the local church needs you!

GOd also inspirted Peter to preach to the Gentiles but did he do it? NO! God had to send a prophet to him to tell him to do so. He finally obeyed, but after he did so, the church found out that he did so and he wthdrew and Paul had to rebuke his butt!

No one is saying Peter has the final say so, or any say so.

It says He was made poor but that is talking about Him leaving His riches in Heaven to come here. Study the word properly and you will see that He wasn't poor.

Dude, don't just read one verse and think that JUDAS (correctly spelled) was Jesus' "treasurer". Verse 4 of ch. 12 said that Judas was about to betray Jesus. Verse five, Judas was upset that they didn't sell the oil that Mary used to grease Jesus' feet. And verse 6 shows that Judas was not concerned about the poor, BUT WAS A THEIF!!! Do you honestly think that even if Jesus had a treasurer, which he did not, that he would not be a thief?!? Read the context, it all makes sense.
