I don't understand why people get so pissed about remakes. It doesn't change the original. It's not trying to compete. It's simply an interpretation. It's like looking at a painting of the sky and saying: "But it's not as good as the original." If anything it is an homage. I like Zepplin's version better, but this is a smashing tune in its own right.

I'm a Reznor/NIN/Ministry etc. fan, and his version is not bad and it is more industrial/different, BUT! when listening to this version, it is hard to not compare or get the original Zeppelin greatness and feel out of ones head. For me as a vocalist, Plants vocal movements are perfect, Page and Plant make you feel as if you are in the 9th and 10th century A.D. on board a Knarr as a Viking in the Atlantic, They were just that great.

Complain about "sampling" where someone else's entire song is just sung over, not good covers where talented musicians approach a work from a different angle than the original musician.

The idea isn't to replace the original, just to have another great version.

There are crappy covers from untalented artists. That's most covers. All of these musicians are far from untalented.

Even Zep would like this so get over it, haters. It's a nuanced track that sounds great.
