The movie was good because the relationship between the blond girl and the other guy, there was so much tension because the girl (Juno Temple) was really cute and hot and the guy was all nerdy and you could relate with that story line.

But the rest was the same Jack Black acting. The movie was good, not as significant as School of rock but better than Be Kind Rewind (that was a good movie but the editing destroyed),

This is a movie to watch it on the couch with your girlfriend.

mistertitanic - you clearly have no sense of humour. Jack Black is a comedy genius, so is Michael Cera. They are both unique comedians don't you think? It was like a modern day Life Of Brian. I don't see how people can watch a hilarious movie and say "its boring and not funny". I agree that it wasn't hilarious non stop, but just 2 really funny scenes make a movie for me. And there were more than 2 hilarious scenes in it. Maybe u didn't get the subtle jokes.

P.S- watching all the bonus features on dvd makes a film better. Like the gag reels and LinoRamas really are an extension of the film.  You can't hear all the different takes in a movie, so you watch them on the dvd bonus stuff. It really makes a difference. Knocked Up was outstanding in that department. Bonus features galore!

I loved it and let me say why: I am sick of seeing Biblical-era movies played by people with British accents. Every Greek or Roman/Early film has the same type of actor with the same stodgy dialogue. The movie was fresh, well written and included more real dialogue (i.e. what might have been said by normal people living in that time...) A lot of people who take themselves very seriously will not allow themselves to like this movie and will keep up their facade.
