"The way they are being taught doesn't fit" YES! Yes, this continues to be the way they are taught in college. YES- there is apoint when teaching to fill in a gap will not work for the student. That is when they are not self-efficient, self- motivated, self-reliant and when they lack "Metacognition" or the ability to think about or know about their own thinking. Now, I ask you ... is there any other way to teach metacognition? I really need to know! :)
the education system is a polarity.... you are smart only if and when you participate in school.... but if you dont then you are a nobody and working a 9 to 5.... people go to school to learn, and when your not at shool your not learning so thats why schools are hard to deal with cuz you have to become a slave to learning something only for so long, you guys just made education sound pointless to me lol but good shit though really i know this will assist many
current school system is base on fear, you get an A = youre goin to heaven = money! if you get an F = youre goin to hell = no money!
it is not base on unconditional self support learning that is base on Life.
thats why students just cheat, why do they cheat? because of fear. therefore students dont really learn anything other than Fear and the fight for survival, and corruption.
Fascinating. I was read at home at a young age and I always thought that made all the difference in determining my love for reading and literature. Re: the stories about high schoolers being unprepared for college, this was true at my university where I tutored remedial english to freshmen,
@clk211bu i hadnt been to school for two years and my reading level ddropped considerably-and it wasnt high to begin with- but i have been trying this self honesty and self writing and forgivness and all of a sudden my reading skills went up a lot. i read a lot fast then in high school. i feel more conected to words cuz of destenis tools and assistance
