You're right, asides from switching the autopilot on and off and switching camera perspective at one point

I do remember that this vid still took a number of takes till it went right, though that was mostly due to either unfortunate results of the opponents interfering, or the video capturing device breaking down in the middle of the recording ^^;

I just got wipeout HD for PS3.

It's like a mix of FZero and Mario Kart.

I think the only Nintendo-WipEout was for N64... and that's this one being shown.
