"Genius" and "legend" certainly describe Jeff Lynne. "Evil Woman" and "Don't Bring Me Down" are two of my favorites songs. And it's clear from interviews that he's a huge Beatles fan.
The Beatles were ok but what has always been sad was that everyone says they are the best. In my opinion either of these guys blows the Beatles off the stage, period.
I love ELO and APP, but remember that they were heavily influenced by the Beatles. Without the Beatles there would be no ELO and APP, or at least they'd be radically different :)

They did a tribute to John Lennon that still ranks with some of the best musical experiences I've ever had, or ever shall have. RIP Kelly G. Bassist Kelly Groucutt sued and WON for lost royalties. Then COFOUNDER and dtummer Bev Bevan got pissed at Jeff. Lynne is admittedly talented, but a heartless prick. Get educated.

Great video Jena4 ... these guys are so humble talking about The Beatles ... I guess they were GODS for a lot of people and still are!!, but mostly the ones who were really able to understand the incredible talents of the 4 guys form Liverpool ...I've always imagine how it would be to meet John Paul George or Ringo ... and every single time I think of it I feel I'm going to burst in tears ... even meeting Jeff ... who I think is an incredible artist and so underrated ..
I suspect Jeff and Alan have met somewhere over the years through award shows or some sort of industry function or their ties withthe Beatles, but unfortunately no collaboration.
That would be fun to watch and then listen to the outcome.

Please don't listen to Getchasumm. He likes to make up things for fun. Groucutt recently died of old age. He left ELO in1984, some 25 years ago.
