Oh, jeez. Honestly. One of the most beautiful things about music is that it can be interpreted by the individual. So if soemone wants to think it's about God, they can. If they want to think otherwise, that's fine too. If you want to interpret it the way it was written by the singer/band, look up what they wrote it about.
