  • I believe it works somedays when there are other factors involved, but there are to many days in the NorthEast that Im in this stand at mid-day and don't see deer until evening. When there's a morning fog, this is especially true I find. Or right after a heavy rain and it gets warm relatively quickly. But I have yet to swack a monster buck under any such conditions.

  • this true? the closer the due point to the temperature the more deer activity? have you tried this out more? When i did my rattling video the due point was low relatively to the temperature. Thanks and nice video rattleing that buck in, he looked right up at you pinpointing the calling, Ive had this done to me as well. And hows the rattleing around now November 13th?

  • @ButtonBuckWorkman In the September issue of Outdoor Life they talk about the dew point being within 4 degrees of the low temp, deer daytime activity increases. I guess on this day it did, but I lost track of monitoring it later in the season. The last two weeks of the season really went dead for any daytime activity except about an hour in the morning, few deer came to calls either, the weather was exceptionally warm and sunny.
