@SuperTwins2010 All the same, I still prefer Dawn out of some of the ladies Ash traveled with. Once, I was a slight fan of Misty's.

But then I started to realize that she was too much of (as a Kids WB voice-over called her,) a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. May seemed a little shallow, I remember two episodes where she not only made sexist remarks to Ash but also overused Torchick's ember in a Pokemon battle, which resulted in Ash being heavily burned

@SuperTwins2010 Finally, in comes Iris; I could list a good number of things I dislike about her but I only have a limited amount of letters to use for the comment. To make a long story short; I know these are just TV characters and Dawn may seem like she was created to be Ash's clone.

But to me, her having similar personality traits to Ash shows me how much more compatible Ash/Dawn are together. In any kind of relationship, compatibility should be a factor

I actually think Dawn should have got Chikorita. A Meganium would work much better in contest then a Typhlosion (if her Quilava will ever evolve) and she lacks fully evolved Pokemon. Besides, the Cyndaquil-line is too badass for her :l.
