  • 2:51 HAHAHAHA

  • @budweiburp Lets play a game boys, gank the wheel! :)

  • @DuckmanCycles Thanks for the video man. Do you have any idea where I can find a 38 tooth rear sprocket? Also, do you think a 16 tooth sprocket in the front would work? I've read of other people putting a 15 in the front.

  • @budweiburp ebay

  • @budweiburp Yeah, ebay or your favorite dealer. If you want a break you can talk to the guys over at Thumpertalk. They have a parts store with cheap parts and their customer service is some of the best I've dealt with. Check 'em out! :)

  • @DuckmanCycles Sweet, thanks again!

  • "Emphasis on the little nuts part" hahaha youre hilarous

  • Thanks for the vids. I think I better change my chain and both sprockets.

I just thought of a new phrase, "There's no such thing as too rich, or too much angle grinder use"

I don't use the angle grinder much, but its strangely satisfying whenever I do.

  • Would it be a good idea to lube the bearings while you’re doing this job?

  • @Mike82ARP The bearings used on this bike are sealed, not much to lube, otherwise yes.

  • @vvtheduckvv what size socket did you use for the front sprocket?

  • 15,000 miles my ass, its 15872 miles. Thanks guys, You just saved me 144 dollars in mechanics fees, I'm doin this myself!

  • @snowflake558 Hehe! Awesome! Glad to help!

  • 07:45 dude says put your "Nut" all over it HA HA HA!!

thanks for the video very helpful.

  • @faust6 LoL! Yes I did! Glad I could help you! :-D

  • its alot easier to do this on a pre gen 250

  • @KASTAS155 Everything is easier on the previous generation!

  • @vvtheduckvv i just changed the sprockets on my 250 today like new gold chain and 15/41 setup. i love the difference. completely feels like theres a "7th gear" that i always wished for before. bikes not much sluggish either

  • @KASTAS155 Yeah, did you notice it was faster off the line, too? It JUMPS off the line now instead of winding up and going nowhere.

  • @vvtheduckvv yeah and all the gears feel useful now instead of constantly shifting and driving around in 6th everywhere

  • @KASTAS155 Well, I still find that I have to constantly shift, but its part of that bike's appeal. Requires lots of input, keeps it fun! :)

  • Hahah... he said shaft... But in all seriousness thanks for the walkthrough! Great info.

  • @nspinicelli Haha! Glad to help!

  • This was easy to watch and crude enough to be enjoyable, thanks a lot

  • @kzarmane Haha! Thanks!

  • kool thanks! the chain i have ordered has an extra 2 links than standard, do you think this will cause me probs? as in being too long as i have no tools to remove links etc

  • @MRSHAUN8 A chain link breaker can be gotten from Lowes for about $8. I suggest one. If you can make the chain fit, just pull the wheel back farther until the chain is to adequate tightness. If you can't get it tight enough you're gonna have to break the chain.

  • hi i just ordered a chain/sprocets for my ninja zx6r j1, the new one has a soft link and clip, are these safe to use? as i dont have a rivet tool etc...

  • @MRSHAUN8 If you put it on correctly and check it periodically as part of your maintenance routine you'll be just fine. Some people scream bloody murder that I say that, but I've had dozens of bikes, and worked on many dozens more in the last 25 years, and I haven't had a single problem with ANY, EVER!

  • Putting your heel on the front brake sounds difficult. Too bad you didn't show us that part. ;)

  • @CZroe Its not difficult at all! I'll give you a shoutout in my next shoutout video and do it for you.

  • @vvtheduckvv

I need some help, i want to increase the top end speed on my yamaha yzf 125

What parts/gear and procedures do i need to do to atleast increase it's top speed to 80 mph?

    Thanks in advance

  • @son2of3heaven I am pretty sire they already go about 90mph, must be a trick question.

  • @vvtheduckvv

    The speed is at 75mph top speed aprox. It's a 125cc With 11Kw (15hp)

I kinda need more speed for the highway and motorway... I don't need to worry about fuel economy aslong as the performance is increased with the tuning i might need to do.

    What do you suggest? :D

    Thanks soo much :)

  • Continue to tighten? Actually, Kawi says to tighten to the specified torque and then back it off to the nearest hole alignment.

  • @CZroe Thats a good observation if thats what you've read, in my manual it says TIGHTEN. Most other manufacturers using the same crown nuts also say to tighten to the next hole. Suzuki and Jeep are just two manufacturers that come to mind. Sill, the difference of tightening to the next available wouldn't be any more than 30 degrees, likely less. I feel you'd be fine either way.

  • What size rear tire is that?

  • @AdisTheSituation Pretty sure its a 130/70-17 on the rear.

  • @vvtheduckvv okay, didnt look like the stock size tire thats why i asked, got the same bike

  • Just so you know I also started to mess up my chain breaker with the factory chain, however there is one link that is lettered with different letters than the rest. It pushed out very easy with the tool compared to the rest. So one link IS different rotate the chain and look at the lettering the one thats lettered different or not at all(i cannot recall what it was) but it is different pushes out 3xs as easy at least.

  • @Choterownsu Good info! I appreciate that! You can also just grind the head flat on one of the rivets then push the breaker through, too. To make a fun video, though, we made lots of sparts and cut the crap out of it! :)

  • MAN! you are a legend! absolute life saver, pulled it all off easy but forgot where spacer and washer went, idea about holding on the break to tighten bolt on front sprocket is genius! good work mate! i used a grinder to cut chain, mine was the original as well! lol

  • @danielmwilliams90 Haha! So glad I could help! Most people can't hold the brake and turn the wrench all at the same time, but I've learned to do things myself without people's help, so I come up with lots of interesting things, lol! :)

  • MAN! you are a legend! absolute life saver, pulled it all off easy but forgot where spacer and washer went, idea about holding on the break to tighten bolt on front sprocket is genius! good work mate!

  • @ratko89 Factory config was 14/45. This bike is now 15/38 (mine is 15/41.) It takes off just fine, but the clutch needs a little more slipping to take off, but it lurches forward much quicker if you dump the clutch and is actually faster than my friend's 250s and actually wants to wheelie easier, (contrary to popular belief) but it doesn't have as much torque anymore to keep that front wheel up when you get it there!

  • why u need to hurry ?

  • @laxwork because it cuts into my riding time!

  • @vvtheduckvv Where I go no way to fix it! But this is from MX, right?

Mine take few days every time to fix my tire because the most times need a spare part, as this days.. Anyway, can u fix my tire? :-)

  • @laxwork I probably could fix your tire, but I think its better to bring it to a professional shop. I don't have tire spoons that work well enough for such a hard tire, my spoons are better for bicycles tubed moped tires.

  • @vvtheduckvv I spent money only for gas ;)

  • Think you can cut that chain with a pair of bolt cutters?

  • @Goloth1 If I had a pair, I would have tried, but I'm sure it would work! :)

  • i have a method to that i use for the 500

put a screwdriver just behind te front sprocket tru the chain on the up side all the way to the chain below , it will keep the sprocket and wheel from moving

or mount a discbrake lock to the rear wheel ;)

ur method is prob better tough

  • @supermotardmario My method is just for showing off, LOL! :)

"HEY! Look what I can do!"

  • wow you make that look easy! I'm not sure i'd have the guts to do it myself!

  • @joyinc30 Honestly, it really is that easy! :)

  • Cool vid.

  • @pulse0000 Thanks! :)

  • I read that it's much easier to insert the axle from the right and that even the service manual tells you to do this despite it shipping with it inserted from the left.

  • @CZroe Yeah, that would be easier. Every bike that I've ever owned typically pushed in from the left though.... :: shrugs :: Even the backwards European stuff I had, lol!

  • How the heck did he get to 11K miles without the rubber on his shift boot wearing off like mine? Now I'm at 15K and I can see the metal rod underneath!

  • @CZroe I'm at 15k also and mine is fine, too. Maybe its the kind of shoe you wear?

  • @vvtheduckvv Considering how fast all the other rubber rotted on the bike too, I think mine just got the bad formula.

  • @CZroe Were the ants eating it? I've heard of that, too!

  • @vvtheduckvv Actually, I'm the one who started the ant rumor. They were probably just after grease or something. I found out the that rubber dampers on my passenger seat were simply never fully installed from the factory, hence the glue Kawi started using (still wasn't enough to keep from losing them). The dealer replaced both.

Anyway, I uploaded a vid showing some of the wear I've experienced at nearly 15K miles.

  • @CZroe I forgot to mention that I first incorrectly blamed the missing dampers on the ants and that's what started the misinformation.

  • WARNING !! WARNING !! WARNING !! if you fit the connecting link , and then the outer plate and ,, feather link '' , this must be fitted with the closed end in the direction of the chain movement !! if not , gravity can open and remove this connecting link outer feather and thus cause damage to the bike or your bud !!!

  • @dutchurbanminer Thank-you! I will add that to annotations. I neglected to talk about it this time. My other chain has pressed links, no clip-on master links.

  • nice are the they second set

  • @dmaheryfz450 Yep, second set!

  • @vvtheduckvv not bad so

  • Nice Work . I tend to resort to the angle grinder aswell . Quite a bit :-)

  • @terence20001 Its fun especially when pissed off! :)

  • Thanks for the tips

  • @VE9REJ You are most welcome! :)

  • Cool chain replace man and also fast, that's great man, you know a lot of bikes and it is good like that, so you never got to go to any garage for anything. Great video Glenn

  • @MagicCadillac Its not a very hard job, its shame I am limited to 10 minutes or I would have left a lot more of the jokes in without editing them!

  • @vvtheduckvv I see. It is a joke for those 10, 11 minute limits for a normal youtube user, special users like tv channels and stuff can make longer videos I think or for some events, that's not really fair but what can you do? I guess nothing.

  • love the intro.

and aren't you just... handy at stuff huh.

  • @BrittanyNicole1990 mmm yep, thats my new (and first) intro! I put that together yesterday!
