  • Beautiful.

  • Resonance good but they are going a bit too slow

  • Superb.

    R.I.P Handel.

  • BRAVO

  • Thank you, Christopher

  • I'm a member of the Chorus of Westerly, RI, and we're doing this in a months time. The entire Messiah. It's so beautiful, but very challanging.

  • This features some of the best choral singing one will ever hear in this work, but I largely disagree with Shaw's tempi and overall feel for the work; he doesn't hold a candle to Beecham, Scherchen, or even Solti and Boult in this music.

  • @billyguns2 Shaw's version are the most precise. Beecham's versions were sloppy- raggedy choral attacks, sluggish tempos at times, and generally unprepared sounding. Watch Beecham conduct - you'll understand why!

  • You just cannot improve upon Robert Shaw-perfection of choral music!

  • @choirsinger123 I think you can improve on this version. And the Glory is too slow..

  • Simplemente precioso

  • thanks

  • This is the very best recording of Handel's Messiah there is. I have heard several others, and none are as awesome as this one. Robert Shaw did an excellent work.

  • I agree with you!

  • Amen and Amen!
