  • BETTY RULES!!!.....this is sooooo yummy!...thanks Betty!...u should change your last name to Crocker!...lol, god love ya!....hi fives from Toronto, Ontario! ;D

  • Recipe is awesome! Im so glad to see this because my family loves loaded baked potatoes but I've always made them individually. I'm thrilled to knw I can do this now. Fyi its also great with the cubed ham sold in packs as well as a sprinkle of bacon bits on the finished potato (not put in the mixture). Thank you for posting. This is a lifesaver.

  • I tried ur grilled cheese sandwish already (Delicious)... now time to make some baked potatoes!... Thanks Betty!

  • Betty always saves the day! Thank you so much

  • I was scouring Youtube looking for a good recipe on how to make some fully loaded potatoes when I came across this one (actually I was looking for suggestions, I already had an idea of some ingredients I was going to put on my potato). Awesome tip on combining all of the topping ingredients in a bowl before putting them on the potato, we were able to taste all the ingredients in every forkful! I did it tonight and our potatoes were delicious. Thanks Betty!.

  • im trying ur way of baking them rite now

  • looks delicious

  • @iAdmireQuagsire Thanks for your lovely comment!

  • @TheNamelessAccount Thanks! I hope you enjoy it!

    --Betty :)

  • Wow wat a cool video yar..

  • @rosunable Thanks!

    --Betty :)

  • @rayansb Sometimes I do pierce the potatoes with a fork before baking. Yes, you need to pierce them before you put them in the oven.

    --Betty :)

  • I don't make mine like that. I rub olive oil on mine, Salt it with sea salt, bake it at 350 degrees in the oven for 1 Hour. Skin comes out crispy and inside is fluffy. I never wrap mine in foil but to each his own right!

  • @skoggit That sounds delicious!

    --Betty :)

  • wooooooo betty

  • @LynchhMobb562 Betty is showing how to steam potatoes. When you put foil around potatoes, the moisture can't escape and the skin wont be crisp. If you want true baked potatoes with crispy skin, don't use the foil. The butter mixture looks great.

    Jim

  • @LynchhMobb562 About 1 hour and 15 minutes. Squeeze to see if they are soft.

    --Betty :)

  • can u use table salt instead

  • @1037023 Yes, table salt is fine!

    --Betty :)

  • Im going to try this tonight. Thanks Betty.

  • Great video, I can't wait to try this out myself.

  • Thank you for your video! I just used your recipe and I also added green chilli to my baked potatoes and my family loved them!!! Thank you so much!!!

  • @tribalfreak1 Thanks for the great feedback! I like the green chile idea!

    --Betty :)

  • i love u betty! this is great!

  • one halve cup of sour cream or one quarter??????

  • @galinarou It is 1/2 cup--I know I mistakenly said one-quarter cup, but the container was 1/2 cup. Sorry for the confusion!

    --Betty :)

  • applause

  • havin a baddddd craving to eat it!!!!!! im gonna make it rite now.

  • i love u Betty, come live in Ireland with me!

  • Myself ...I use french onion dip instead of sour cream...and i cook bacon till crisp in microwave and crumble it into the blend....bacon seems to make everything better....even goes great over shrimp scampi or even scallops

  • whoa! mouthwatering!

    --Betty :)

  • I'm 26 yrs old and gotta say, great figure.

  • @sharkl11 Thanks!

    --Betty :)

  • hi betty! your video was very nice, but it made my eyeballs hurt because it is blurry and my lights are out, so that didn't help, but thanks!! :)

  • Sorry the quality of the video wasn't good, but I hope it was helpful! Thanks for writing!

    --Betty :)

  • Betty I wish you were my neighbour.. You are a great cook damn! I would be eating at your house every week hehehe

Thank you for a wonderful recipe can't wait to try this xxxxxx

  • You are welcome for the recipe! Thanks for your sweet comment!

    --Betty :)

  • I use oil and salt too but I've never rapped it in tinfoil. does that change the way it tastes? i just cross cut the top and leave it in the oven. xXx

  • I think it tastes better, because the coating sinks in as it cooks. The main reason for the foil is to prevent an overcooked, dried outer skin of the potato. Thanks for asking!

    --Betty :)

  • thanks betty!!! im actually trying this recipe now hahahaha im sure it will turn out great!!!

  • Hi!

I hope you had a wonderful loaded baked potato!

    --Betty :)

  • These really turned out nice. I made these along with your Ritz chicken nuggets and both turned out very good.

  • I am so happy that you are having success with my recipes! Thanks for the great feedback you have given me!

    --Betty :)

  • Hard to see, quite blurry :S

  • Sorry about that! I just noticed that I joined on January 18, and this video was made on January 30. It was with a tiny digital camera, which was all I had at the time. I think the quality of my videos is a little better, now1 Thanks for your comment!

    --Betty :)

  • @BreeTube123 the camera isnt up to date which means on january 2009, there isnt any camera with 8.0 megapixel =/ or more... so dont complain if it's blurry...

  • Oh my goodness that looks amazing!

i will definately have to try this.

    brilliant video :)

  • Thanks so much! I hope you enjoy the recipe! Thanks for commenting!

    --Betty :)

  • I couldn't wait for the weekend and also couldn't watch my calories...we had it today...and it was really really awesome...Thanks again...

  • You are very welcome! Now you can have that quite often without getting tired of it! Thanks for your lovely feedback!

    --Betty :)

  • It's really nice..but I am getting a feeling that it is high in Calories!!

  • It's really great, if you are giving yourself a break from watching calories. If you are watching calories, use fat free sour cream, light butter, and low-fat cheddar cheese. That should help a lot, and it really won't taste that much different--you still have the green onion and seasonings for free! Thanks for your comment!

    --Betty :)

  • I am gonna try it the next weekend...

My roomie and I Are huge fan of baked potatoes...we didn't know how to bake it until I read a blog about baking it ..and the golden figure 1:15 for the potatoes..In that blog he advises 350 degrees preheated oven..(you say 400 degrees)...

I was looking for nice toppings..else otherwise potatoes are bland...I found a perfect one here..

    Thanks for posting this video..

  • You are welcome for the suggested toppings! You can vary the heat from 350 to 400, because the potato is in aluminum foil. That gives you flexibility to get other parts of your meal together. If you bake it without foil, you should go with the lower heat of 350 for about an hour and 15 minutes--just squeeze it with a potholder occasionally to see if it's getting soft. Good luck with your potatoes!

    --betty :)

  • ive tried it before cuz my friends dad made it :D its super good and then he added bacon pieces but i dont really like bacon so. right now i realized i think i dont have sour cream well i dont know if its sour cream since its mexican

  • I hope you can find the ingredients--It's great!

    --Betty :)

  • im trying this tomorrow for lunch since i have gymnastics at 1 i need to eat lunch at 11:00 a.m. :) your super talented at cooking betty thank you

  • Thank you! I think you'll *love* the loaded baked potato! It makes a nice lunch! Thanks for your comment!

    --Betty :)

  • See, what i do is VERY simple and VERY tasty

I take about three small to medium white potatoes, ccut them up into 1" pieces and I place them in boiling water for about 15 minutes or untill they soften. then I take some Peppered Bacon and cut it up into small peices and then I take Red Pepper, Chives, Sour Cream, Chedder Cheese, and Onion Salt. Then I put small portions of everything into the blender and blend it all together. Then once I blend everything together, it's a nice tasety soup!

  • I likei t! Thanks for sharing it! I hope my viewers take a look at your method. Thanks so much for your comment!

    --Betty :)

  • Yours looks delicious!!

  • Thanks! Everyone has their own particular additions, but this is just the basics!

    --Betty :)

  • do u need to add green onions???? cuz i want to make one but i dont think i have green onions

  • The green onions are completely optional. You could add some regular minced onion or onion flakes, but the recipe does not need onions at all! It will be great if you just use the other ingredients! Thanks for asking! And, thanks for viewing (and trying)!

    --Betty :)

  • Betty I follow your instructions, the potatoes came out perfect. They were eaten in seconds, next time I have to make more ,but the way the potatoes came out nice and hot ,but not as hot as you :). Thanks again

  • Thank you so much for your sweet comments!

    --Betty :)

  • i just tried this it was really good my mum loved it. Thank you for uploading this video =)

  • You are very welcome! I'm glad it turned out great for you!!! Thanks for commenting!

    --Betty :)

  • It needs bacon crumbles to be a "perfect loaded" potato, but this does look good, Thanks for the video. I think I will bake a couple tonight then pop them in the fridge to save for tomorrows lunch.

  • I really like bacon with potatoes, too. I used crisp bacon crumbles with my Twice Baked Potatoes, so I needed to change it up a bit to keep the two from being "too" similar! Great tip! Thanks for your comment!

    --Betty :)

  • Looks Yummy! .. making me hungry. lol

how long do u leave the potato in the oven?

  • If you cover it with foil, you need to bake it at 400 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Without foil--just 1 hour. Thanks for viewing and for your question!

    --Betty :)

  • Great recipe. It looks so easy, can't wait to try this 4 dinner tomorrow.

  • Great! I know you'll like it! Thanks for watching and commenting!

    --Betty :)

  • so you cant.. microwave the potatoe you have to bake it and what would go good as a meat for this to be a dish

  • For this recipe, you could microwave the potato. It goes with almost anything--steak is best!

    --Betty :)

  • I wanna try it looks so good =P

  • It is good, and it is also very easy!

    --Betty :)

  • I cannot wait to make this! Looks great and easy to do....

  • It is really great and really easy. I'm gald you are going to try it! Thanks for viewing (and trying!).

    --Betty :)

  • This looks delicious. I think I will try this with the potato not wrapped in foil, but just on the oven rack, with a few fork holes punched into it! Thanks:)

  • That sounds great! Sometimes I do it that way, too! Thanks for your comment.

    --Betty :)

  • very nice.. i will use this with the steak for a nice romantic diinner with my better half:)

  • I hope your dinner went well! Thanks for your comments and encouragement!

    --Betty

  • where's the bacon?

  • I know a lot of people use bacon, even parsley, paprika, etc. I prefer to leave those out, but I should have mentioned those option in my demonstration. Thanks for bringing it up!--Betty :)

  • how long do you bake the potatoe for?? ilove american cookin

  • With the potato covered by foil you need to bake it for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 400 degrees. :)
