i think that anna was very good, good movement, good strokes, she just didnt have the power to compete with the williams sisters and seles, i dont think she ever defeated either of those three. also, she was more of a sexpot and the face of the wta tour than anything else, that's why i believe shes seen as a joke regarding her as anna the tennis player, she was marketed as such

Man. Sharapova totally copied off Anna in the 2nd round of the 2007 U.S. Open, with that red dress. But she lost in the next round to that Polish chick, so she had it coming to her. I just went to Niketown the other day and saw like 10 copies of that day dress Sharapova lost in. I guess everyone thinks that dress is jinxed or something.
