on another note orca's have been reported to attack and eat great whites... but if you're implying theres supposedly something we dont know about in the sea the answer would probably be

By the way sharks don't mean to kill people they just want to see what you are. Think of it this way, say and alien came into our world. We would want to investigate it and see if its a threat or not.

I use quality barbless circle hooks, ensuring me that I will get a corner of the mouth hookup with no gut hookups.

I am aware of a sharks anatomy and nervous system and I can promise you that sharks don't feel pain the same way as we do. Their nervous system is not as advanced as ours, giving them the advantage of not feeling intense pain and for a good reason! The ocean is a fish eat fish world with brutal attacks.

Hooking a shark in the mouth would feel like an itch on us.

And we don't know why or how this shark died. Perhaps it got entangled in a net or it was approaching a swimming area and someone shot it.
