Yeah this movie was good, it has the look of the Doom games alot, but doesnt really have the dark/scary feel to it like the games did. But I thought it was a way better Movie/game adaptation than others, especially Res Evil. And the whole CG, 1st Person, run through, towards the end was a, cool nice kinda nod to the games.

when this film was in the theaters my buddies kept telling me how lousy it was going to be so I ended up missing it. Perhaps because they are such hard core fans of the games. I honestly thought it was kinda entertaining. It's not by a long shot on par with legendary films such as ALIEN and ALIENS but if you don't watch it with super high expectations there's a solid chance you'll enjoy it. Then again good monster films are really scarce nowadays so my standards are pretty low at the moment :P

The actors, especially Karl Urban and The Rock, put up surprisingly well acting performance. The story line is very convincing and the closer you get to the ending, the more unexpected nice twists are taken in the story line.
It's not an amazing movie, but i'd consider it sorta like a baby version of Aliens 2. Grade 7 ^^
