The commentators who worked for the UFC during the SEG days were brought back and the fights were done tournament style. The problem is that many MMA fans today weren't watching the UFC in the 90's, and even the hardcore fans who were probably didn't recognize the throwback.
I'm glad this was done, I think its cool that they tried to change the cage a little. Even if it did fail miserably... It was more entertaining than UFC 119

This is soooo Gladiator I LOVE IT!!! Super stoked but I"m going to find it somewhere on the Internet before I drop my Cash on it. Love this new Gladiator, Roman era we are stepping into. I guess our generation isn't as pussy as I thought. lol
I'd rather have a fair competition where my style wouldn't be un-favored rather than sacrifice it for the sake of entertainment and excitement. Sooner or later Meyrowitz is going to have to sell or disband the organization because I really don't see it going anywhere that would be financially beneficial.
The only thing cool is the tournament set-up. They should have just done that with a regular cage or ring.

I will admit when I first heard of Yamma I just thought it was going to be another Circus trying to appear as a legitimate MMA organization but seeing this video of what the new surface actually looks like and looking into the records of the 8 guys in the tournament, I am starting to think that this will be worth purchasing. If the slanted sides work the way they say it will, it could be a huge addition to the port.
Looks pretty cool to me. I cant tell you the last time I saw Pat Smith fight. It had to be at least 10 years ago in UFC and Im looking forward to finding out how he does. Too bad its on ppv, I would have watched if it was on cable. Anyway, good luck to Yamma. Hopefully it will catch on and be available outside of ppv.

Unfortunately the Announcer "Scott Ferrall" speaks as someone that got something introduced in the ass! He got a very terrible voice.
Sounds like a mad dog.
Overall he makes always mistake !

1. Lower the incline to 2-3 inches.
2. Get Jimmy Lennon Jr. as announcer.
3. 3x3 minute rounds.
4. Fire the commentator who said "I don't like that jumping stuff" (when Ricco threw a nice superman punch).
