The food is actually pretty gross, but it's popular because of the entertainment. It's more for the kids than anything else. I enjoyed it as a child.

I ate here as a kid, like in the mid-90s. I'll never forget, the gorilla jumped on our table and scared the living crap outta me! I was around 8 and my mom had taken a couple friends with her that were from the South and they totally freaked out, too! They were all like, "WTF?! If you wanna wait in a huge line, see shitty fake trees, lame cliff divers jumping in to a fake waterfall/pond, and have mediocre mexican food. Then by all means, eat at casa bonita.

Yes , you are right it is alot of fun , I am of mexican descent . I love the cliff divers , and service from the wait staff , and entertainment in general , but the food really sucks, in Mexico there is no ground beef enchilada or a bread called a Sopapilla that is eaten with honey.Eatery wise it sucks , but entertainment I love it .

It's rather unfortunate, too, because everyone knows the food sucks, it's not like that's a secret. You'd think they do something about that, so it really would be a spectacular place to go with out-of-towners and flatlanders. As it is, it's kind of a joke, but with decent entertainment.

I remember the first time I was there when I was like 6, not quite getting the concept of cliff diving (especially indoors) and being pretty freaked out by that too. I even think I started bawling thinking I just witnessed a suicide. Good times...
