Adryana Boyne need to review the history. Since mid 80's all ANTI-HISPANICS and ANTI-IMMIGRANTS bills have been proposed by Republican politicians. Ms. Boyne needs to check the past. During the Reagan administration Hispanics fell 33 percent below the federal poverty line. Hispanics do not forget that. And currently the Arizona SB1070 Law, which is ANTI-IMMIGRANTS and ANTI-HISPANICS was proposed by a republican, Hazelton, PA. ANTI -IMMIGRANTS and Farmers Branch ordinances also, GOP'S
@bertchadwick Don't spam multiple videos (of Adryana) with the same comment. Also, I'm an economist, so don't come here with over stated BS poverty line numbers either. Anyone can cite statistics without any context for frame of reference.
it's gonna be very difficult for young latinos to call themselves republicans when the AZ law becomes reality and they have to carry their birth certificate in their wallet to prove they're not illegals
@beenn15 I take it you haven't actually read the bill, because that wouldn't be the case at all. In fact the bill actually goes to great length to avoid racial profiling. Go ahead, read it now. It's only 16 pages long plus a cover page. The police aren't just going around knocking on doors here.
@beenn15 Even if they had the manpower to do that they wouldn't. But now, when a drunk guy with no ID or proof of insurance is driving a car (perhaps stolen?) with no title, registration or safety inspection, they are going to quickly check to see if he's here legally based on the "hunch" that he might not be.
@beenn15 The AZ law just enforces federal laws (that are already on the books). The average illegal alien costs tax payers $19,000 per year, not counting the extra car insurance premiums to cover themselves against car accidents with uninsured illegals (I can assure you, this is a common occurrence). And with somewhere between 20 - 80 million undocumented illegal aliens in the country, quite frankly the AZ tax payers are sick of paying for it.
@2DumbKidsVideo oh no... don't get me wrong. I'm not disputing the legality of the AZ law. I'm just worried about the unintended consequences that will surely result from its application. The law doesn't state what an illegal looks like; that is left to an officer to decide. I trust that the officers will try their very best to be fair but there's way too much room for abuse.
Latino Americans will be disproportionately scrutinized.
@beenn15 The law doesn't state what an illegal looks like? Isn't that the point? Would you rather the law state that all Latinos are illegal? I don't think they'll have to guess when they pull over a drunk guy /w no drivers license, insurance, registration or inspection. When they take him back to the drunk tank, they'll try to figure out his/her ID / criminal history, and that's the point of the law. If you're not breaking the law in the first place, you won't have anything to worry about.
@beenn15 But you're probably correct that there will be 1 or 2 anecdotal cases for the Libs to cite by the time it's all over.
Besides, we all have to carry ID (DL / State ID / Student ID etc). Why should illegals be any different? Why is it that when I'm caught driving without a DL / Insurance I get a ticket & when I don't pay it a warrant is issued for my arrest & I go to jail... but when an illegal does it they just send him on his way because it's too much of a hassle to track them down?
Great job Adryana! Few can match your enthusiasm, your sincerity, or your message! You are a great spokesperson for all Latinos who truly understand the values that made our country great! Viva Adryana!
