It's funny, not long after FF8 was released, everyone I talked to said it was garbage.

When I finally played it myself, I quickly realized it was definitely Final Fantasy quality. An epic story, excellent boss battles, and apart from the others with the ingenious changes to the battle system, and of course, memorable characters.
